Last year's thread can be found here:
Now Playing.......
Jakob Bro - Streams
Jakob Bro (guitar), Thomas Morgan (double bass), and Joey Barron (drums).
via CD Player........ just stuck on a theme, Jakob's guitar and interplay with his fellow musicians, love his music, his compositions along with Bill Frisell continue to amaze me and love them both......

George Harrison. Early Takes Volume 1. On CD from 2012. An excellent collection of demos from the "All Things Must Pass" sessions. High quality stuff, recommended for a Harrison aficionado. I'm awaiting news of a Volume 2 release.
Joe, heartily agree that Volume 2 is long overdue but I have stopped holding my breath

Alan, my guess is that Giles Martin is currently far too embroiled in a 50th Anniversary re-issue of The White Album to worry about Volume 2.
joe, i think i could live with that as an alternative, probably my favourite Beatles album and the possible bonus material is quite mouthwatering.Didn't buy the Pepper box set but would be up for an expanded White Album.
Alan
Having discovered on here this evening that Ray has a new album out in May, I thought I'd give this a spin.
Earlier this evening Van Morrison - Back on Top and currently just finishing Norah Jones - Not Too Late.
Now Playing.......
Jakob Bro - Returnings
Jakob Bro (guitar), Palle Mikkelborg (trumpet, flugelhorn), Thomas Morgan (double bass), and Jon Christensen (drums).
via CD Player........ This ends the six of the CD's that I own with Jakob as the leader but will play a few others as well.......
We had this playing in the background earlier whilst friends were over for dinner and it's getting a proper play again now.
Another great forum find. It's such a beautiful album with songs that just worm their way into your head.
Aimee Mann - Mental Illness

Now Playing.......
Ron Miles - I Am A Man
Ron Miles (cornet), Brian Blade (drums), Bill Frisell (guitar), Jason Moran (piano), and Thomas Morgan (bass).
via CD Player........ One of my favorite jazz releases of 2017 and enjoy the music quite a bit.
The album cover is taken from the time of the Memphis sanitation workers strike where workers wore the placard as they marched for civil rights and was seen quite a bit on the news shows this past week with the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King's assination.
Now Playing........
Paul Motian - I Have The Room Above Her
Paul Motian (drums), Bill Frisell (guitar), and Joe Lovano (saxophones)
via CD player.......... Keeping the afternoon going with the guitar, this time Bill Frisell, in the album that I am choosing to play. Jakob Bro to Bill Frisell, easy choices when I enjoy them both. ......and anything with Paul Motian and Joe Lavano playing together will Bill is going to be a winner!
Joe Jackson I'm The Man Recent reissue that turned out well.
The Dream Syndicate The Complete Live at Raji's on vinyl. The inner sleeves are paper over a soft plastic. I wonder why they don't do that more often.
Now Playing.........
Paul Bley - Fragments
Paul Bley (piano), John Surman (soprano saxophone, baritone saxophone, bass clarinet). Bill Frisell (guitar), and Paul Motian (drums).
via CD player......... A recently acquired CD and really enjoy the music created by this quartet!
Van Morrison, Moondance (1970). First re-issued vinyl from 1971. Great SQ. Van's another of those artists I'm appreciating more as I get older.
Van Morrison. A Sense Of Wonder. On original vinyl from 1984. Continuing with another very enjoyable album from the Belfast Cowboy.
