Oh that’s an album from my youth. I can remember recording it into cassette so that I could play, rewind, play again etc. to work out exactly what Michael Bloomfield was playing. I must get the vinyl out and remind myself of that time. Great album. Better than the John Mayall Beano album? Discuss.

Eponymous Dire Straits record.

Sparked by a memory of meeting John Illsley. He was talking about his interview for art school.  Reckoned he very nearly didn't get in. He told them he couldn't draw straight lines. The interviewer said, 'we've got architects for that'.

Nope, it's a great album but Beano is better.

Continuing my Bill Evans study from yesterday, today joined by Jim Hall for the album Undercurrent. Beautiful playing from both masters of their instruments and playing together very well.

The Glove. Blue Sunshine

DE of 1983 supergroup one off.    Bob Smith from The Cure and Steven Steverin from Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Delightful mash up, with some Malcolm McLaren influences clearly lifted.

Ray Charles - Genius Loves Company.

Having just successfully negotiated the 4.6 streamer update, I'm in the need of something relaxing to calm things down here, and

this is doing the job nicely.

Ray Charles final studio album; this is simply great music in the form of duets with famous artists and friends.

For sure one of the best albums ever made by mr Parsons. The ballads are all this years later for me still the best ever. Goosebumps

Bob Smith? I don’t think anyone has ever referred to Robert Smith as Bob! Or Steven Severin as Steverin come to that. I’ve not heard that album for many years - I used to really enjoy it when it came out.
