Nice! What tapedeck do you have? I've still got my Sony TC-KA7ES. I was even able to score two sealed boxes full of TDK tapes a couple of years ago on a site who still sells blank tapes. Used them to make copies from my lp's.

After my trials with a Naka 682ZX and a 1.5 I'm currently using a humble Naka deck 2 doing the duties. I used to record most of my music on SA-90 and MA-90 tapes. Those were the days. That Sony is a very nice 3 header deck!
Late Junction on R3. Very quietly. It's the end of the day.

Lindsey Buckingham - "Under The Skin" (2006) just seemed like the right thing to do, today in particular.
Indeed. Seems Lindsey has been ousted from Fleetwood Mac. Replaced by Petty/Heartbreakers Mike Campbell for guitar and Neil Finn of Crowded House for vocals. Hey now, hey now.
A gentle start...

Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble - The Sky Is Crying
This one is a fine collection of various studio numbers rescued from the 'cutting room floor' after his untimely death in a helicopter crash. Good stuff as ever from the man and his band.
Love the version of " Little Wing" where you can hear the amps buzzing in the background
Alan
Hi Alan, yes it's a fantasic version of Little Wing, I had to give it a second play at the end of the album. You might find this of interest about the way he preferred his amplification?
Cheers. Steve
...He favored clean amplifiers with high volume and contributed to the popularity of vintage musical equipment. He often combined several different amplifiers together and used minimal effects pedals. Chris Gill of Guitar Worldcommented: "Stevie Ray Vaughan's guitar tone was as dry as a San Antonio summer and as sparkling clean as a Dallas debutante, the product of the natural sound of amps with ample clean headroom. However, Vaughan occasionally used pedals to augment his sound, mainly to boost the signal, although he occasionally employed a rotating speaker cabinet and wah wah pedals for added textural flair."
Disc two of this great (and great value) 4-CD set. Two spiffing albums from 1960, Travelin' and That's My Story in magnificent SQ.
