On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Gianluigi not sure if you have seen the above but if not well worth it as the O'Jays still have it.
Otis Taylor - Hey Joe Opus Red Meat.
I'm actually playing the "Hey Joe" album, but have posted this 2 X CD set ........... available on The River for less than ten squid.
At that price, if you don't already own these two albums, what's to think about .......................... just do it!

Damn, you beat me to it! Postie came while I was at work and I couldn't get into Imgur during the first listen ????
So much to recommend it, not least of all the riddim section. The double LP vinyl, not sure how they would get this on a single 12 inch. Subterranean bass, melodious, everything intertwines.
Whether you read the reviews and call it nu-jazz, Scandi reggae, snow-dub, give this a listen.
Just finished Van Morrison - Keep Me Singing, and earlier Dire Straits - Communique ,and prior to that Bebel Gilberto - Tanto Tempo.

Melody Gardot - Currency of Man
Streaming on TIDAL......... just received my NDX back from being serviced to fix a bad port and the side benefit was having the new firmware release installed while they had it in the shop. After reading some comments above about how fine Melody sounds with the improvements from the 4.6 update I thought I would take her out for a spin. Yes the NDX does sound like it has had a face lift, and Melody is sounding mighty sweet, and looking forward to the few days of listening to music!

Joe Walsh. Barnstorm. On original vinyl from 1972. Joe's solo debut after his departure from the James Gang. Or is it? Joe wanted the album sold under the band name "Barnstorm", but the ABC Dunhill label insisted on highlighting Joe's name for this and their next album "The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get". Whatever, 'tis a good album.
Pete Townshend. Empty Glass. On original vinyl from 1980. Seems somewhat overlooked these days, really quite an excellent album.
West Coast Cool: Cheryl Bentyne and Mark Winkler. Vocal versions of jazz tuners and others, from the fifties. Light and swinging.
