What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Silverchair. Frogstomp. On original CD from 1995. First listen after only ever heard tracks from this album on FM radio back in the day. Stands up well with any of the popular grunge/alternative albums from that time. Even more impressive considering the band members were 15-years-old.
Childish Gambino - Awaken, My Love!
I'm giving this a first listen after a mates recommendation. I didn't realise it's Donald Glover (the new Lando Calrissian).
Easy listening for 8:00am on a Saturday.
Not the average modern jazz trio, much more special than that...
R3. Just swtched over from Today on four. Agony. Phil Airwaves endlessly going on about air strikes.
A treasure of a Cocteau Twins album to get Saturday morning going - dreamy and ethereal and lyrics which match the mood - "Aloysius " - is sheer magic - Playing on Vinyl on 4 AD Records - 1984
Bach - Cantatas
Ton Koopman - Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Choir
Just finished listening to this overview of cantatas highlights conducted by Ton Koopman.
Roy Hargrove - Moment to moment.
Now listening to Roy Hargrove. Jazz with a string orchestra.
Kacey Musgraves, Golden Hour turned up in the post this morning ripped and played a stunning album indeed.
OK, I've decided - for no good reason, but perhaps prompted by [@mention:73370968263941422]' tape thread - to have a cassette-only weekend. So, the Nak is freshly cleaned and demagnetised and we're off!
This tape first - the second album by Factory Records' jazzers Kalima. Bought in May 1988, when it came out.
On the original vinyl:-
Chris Squire - Fish Out Of Water
On CD:-
Frank Zappa - Sheik Yerbouti
S/h vinyl
Bachmann Turner Overdrive- Not Fragile
Why? Mrs Plane is off doing Grandma duties. and it's time for serious NOISE from one of the most underrated hard rock albums of all time. And looking and at the news I need some happiness.
