What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
(2011)
Zombi - Escape Velocity
A little more heavy space rock is required from these boys, this thirty minute album will do nicely.
1975 - UK pressing...
Pop till you drop!
George Cables trio - My Ship
My favorite George Cables album.
- George Cables - Piano
- Ron McClure - Bass
- Billy Hart - Drums
Just finished.......
Anouar Brahem - Conte de I'ncroyable amour
Anouar Brahem (oud), Barbaros Erköse (clarinet), Kudsi Erguner (nai), and Lassad Hosni (percussion).
Streaming on NAS......... A beautiful album just love the interplay between the musicians! The clarinet on this album is beautifully haunting.......
Now playing......
Ben Harper with Charlie Musselwhite - Get Up!
Streaming TIDAL........ Going with a mention from DAVE MARSHALL and taking Ben & Charlie out for a spin! The first two tracks are sounding mighty fine........
Martin Scorsese Presents : The Blues.
Finally getting round to watching / listening to the final DVD in this fine seven disc set.
"PIANO BLUES - A Film By Clint Eastwood"
"Director Clint Eastwood explores his life-long passion for piano blues, using a treasure trove of rare historical footage in addition to
Interviews and performances by such living legends as Ray Charles and Pinetop Perkins".
I know I've posted this previously, but now I've watched all seven discs, this really is highly recommended for anyone with an interest
in the history of The Blues, and it's on The River for not many pennies at all.
After going back many years for a bit of classic ELP I thought I go next for something new and very different:
A lovely album and the song Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground is beautifully emotional.
Oscar Peterson Trio - Night Train
Safe, MOR, boringly predictable, deeply enjoyable....hell, we might even open a second bottle.
Now Playing............
Alejandro Amenabar - Mar Ardentro (The Sea Inside)
Streaming on NAS......... Taking this movie soundtrack that someone had passed along to me out for a spin. Full orchestra with flowing melodramatic swings which fits the description of the movie which is based on the factual story of Spaniard Ramon Sampedro, who fought a thirty-year campaign in favor of euthanasia and his own right to die.
Beth Hart
Front and Center - Live From New YorK - Qobuz Streaming
Brilyant album from Beth, will definitely be buying this album.
Edward
Dark jazz/ambient album. Sounds fine.
A couple more this evening , Terence Trent D'Arby - Introducing the Hardline According To ,a brilliant debut album and then it appears it was all downhill after that.
Followed with Free - Heartbreaker , their last hurrah after losing Andy Fraser but still top notch
Alan
1982 - Uk first pressing...
Beginning with the b-side first and Neurotica which, as TFCSM from their debut album, gives me a sense of immediacy. If you don't live in the sticks, make sure the neighbours are out!
Boooom!
Having a Stones evening, following Beggars Banquet and Between the buttons with
.sjb
Gary Moore - Blues For Greeny, an album of Moore covering Fleetwood Mac era Peter Green tunes with the great mans own Gibson Les Paul guitar that Moore had aquired years before in Belfast.Excellent
Alan
2018 - Tidal ...
Trivia: DGM, which produces these albums, are, by extreme coincidence, based in Salisbury.
I'm saying nooosssiiiiiiing!
Nice trio jazz...
Kind of pop jazz..
Wow fat sound, have bought it in the meanwhile...
Followed up with this one, which I like less....

This is new to me, is very, very smoky, and is very good. A steal at $3.50 too.
So thank you!
Dipped myself into this one, not so much my thing, but relaxing in the background...
