On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

HiRes from Qobuz
Steve Gadd Band. Just right for a lovely sunny afternoon
Shelby Lynne - Just A Little Lovin'
An album where the 4.6 update seems to work its magic rather well.

Bill Morrissey - Standing Eight
Bill Morrissey (vocals, guitar, 12 string guitar, concertina, harmonica, composer), Richard Gates (bass), Rick Watson (guitar), Peter Keane (guitar), Patty Larkin (guitar, vocals), Robin Batteau (violin), Johnny Cunningham (violin), John Curtis (mandolin, electric guitar), David Buskin (piano), Leslie Silvokos (cello), Cormac McCarthy (harmonica), Shawn Colvin (vocals), Dean Adrian (vocals), Eric Lillequist (vocals), Suzanne Vega (vocals), David Patt (drums) and Greg Hopkins (trumpet).
Streaming on TIDAL......... A mention from GIANLUIGI MAZZORANA had me take a peek at this album along with listening to the attached video got me hooked to take this out for a spin. It is also the first time I have seen Cormac McCarthy with a musical credit. I am a few songs into the album and it is worth the time to give a listen, a wonderful album.
I have searched Tidal for this under both the artist's name and the album's name with no luck. There is only one Bill Morrissey album called Friend Of Mine, a collaboration with Greg Brown, which I will of course give a whirl.
Is this more evidence that Tidal's catalogue varies by region, with the UK appearing to miss out more than the US.
Sorry to hear that Nigel, I enjoyed it enough to pick up a used CD for a few $ to rip to the NAS. Also on my TIDAL view I see 10 albums available for listening. I also plan on giving the Bill Morrissey & Greg Brown a spin.

Play this at the moment haven’t done the 4.6 update but it still sounds magical.
Brad Mehldau trio - Blues and Ballads
With a great interpretation of the Beatles song 'And I love her'.

Pcd, you don't need the 4.6 update for this lovely album to sound magical, but knowing what 4.6 can do, if I were you I would take a deep breath and get your NDX 4.6'd.

Sorry you can't reach it! Btw both vinyl and cd are well recorded and not so expensive on discogs.....
Enjoying some Dire Straits before dinner. As well as the music, I've always enjoyed the excellent reproduction quality of this CD.
Now playing......
Tomasz Stanko - New York Quartet --- Wislawa
Tomasz Stanko (trumpet), David Virelles (piano), Gerald Cleaver (drums), and Thomas Morgan (double bass).
Streaming on TIDAL......... Giving Wislawa a spin, I have been listening to a number of Tomasz's albums recently and really enjoy his music. The opening track is quite nice......
Now playing The Beatles - Help! , why? because it was my first ever LP in glorious mono
Jack Johnson - In Between Dreams
Jack sounding pretty much like he is in the room. This'll put a smile on your face.

Sounded great, still sounds fairly good on the Nova but one of those for me where the update 2.3.1/2.6.9508 update removed something special.
An album with an amazing groove. Very good indeed.
(1975)
Jeff Beck - Blow by Blow
From the first few notes It really couldn't be anyone else other than the distinctive Mr. Beck.
We are seeing them live in a couple of weeks and I’m really looking forward to it. In the meantime....

I’m very jealous, enjoy the gig!
Fancied listening to a bit of Jimi. I've liked this album for many years now.
Elton John -Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, a great tour de force from Reg a double album with hardly any filler

A terrific album. Played it very, very many times when it came out.
Restoration, the songs of Elton John and Bernie Taupin, WAV CD rip
Country superstars (and Miley Cyrus) revisiting the songs of Elton and Bernie. They wrote some genuinely great rock and pop songs. These versions vary from the good to the brilliant (Don Henley and Vince Gill are perfect on Sacrifice for example). I’d never consciously heard Kasey Musgrave before, she nails Roy Rogers here, fantastic version, and noticing a couple of people playing here now, I’ll add her to my river shopping cart. I’m afraid this hasn’t converted me to Miley Cyrus, it’s a serviceable cover, but noth8ng to make me impressed.
The album’s well worth a listen, some great versions of great songs.
A variety of tracks as ‘tests’ for 4.6 while the house is briefly empty:
The Doors: ‘Soul Kitchen’, ‘Cars Hiss By My Window’, ‘Riders on the Storm’
Ry Cooder: ‘The Very Thing That....’
Kraftwerk: ‘We are the Robots’
Lou Reed: ‘Walk on the Wild Side’, ‘Perfect Day’
...As my daughter would say - ‘cheesin’’ (which means ???? apparently).

Cassandra Wilson - Blue Light 'Til Dawn
With thanks to Anita K.
1973 - UK first pressing...
Inspired by Steve’s early post.
Bryan Adams - Reckless
Streaming via Tidal, volume cranked up a few notches.
I'm in Heaven!
