Ida Sand - Meet Me Around Midnight

Lovely voice at the piano with her band covering some classic old numbers, great for this time of the evening.

Pendragon - Not of this World, recent vinyl

1st play of this album, and the first time I remember listening to Pendragon since I last saw them at the Marquee, probably over 30 years ago. Excellent old school prog rock, nice themed songs, well played, thanks [@mention:71539985729025468] for reminding me about them, I’ll be look8ng for some older stuff now.

I had family staying over the weekend, and Friday night was music night, I played this, my sister in law got more and more frustrated trying to work out who the vocalist was, she knew the voice and couldn’t place it. She did love the album.

I think it’s fantastic, it grew on me more and more over the first few listens, without the Gregg Allman release it would have been my album of 2017.

Perhaps she likes Led Zeppelin! I listened to II and III yesterday. II wins hands down.

Eoin, this still remains one of my favourite Pendragon albums, of their 'modern' albums I really enjoy Passion (2011) and Pure (2009) both of which are more at the rock end of the prog' spectrum, you might like to Tidalise them to see if you like the evolution and change in emphasis.

Bryan Ferry  - Dylanesque , its well known that Ferry is a big Dylan fan and this is a complete album of covers. Not too bad.

B.B. King - King of the Blues, WAV CD rip

From a bargain box set, BB’s first 10 studio albums each with bonus tracks of singles etc, this is my first spin of any of them after a purchase a couple,of weeks ago. This is a good transcription, and the music is sublime. BB could sing and play the blues like few others, Lucille sings so prettily on this album. The boxset was around a tenner on the river, stunning value.

A terrific album. Played it very, very many times when it came out.

Reminded to play mine also. Quite demanding to get everything from it in my experience, but 252 excelling.

Mike, did you see my message?
