Thanks to Mr Marshall for posting this one a few days back. Ordered and arrived today and is now giving my woofers some good exercise...
Don Letts - Dread Meets Punk Rockers Uptown
Vince Guaraldi Trio: Jazz Impressions of Black Orpheus (SACD)
Last McLaughlin for the morning (pre lunch, anyway) was this on vinyl:
Fun Loving Criminals - Mimosa , a collection of rarities, b-sides and remixes with a great cover of "Couldn't Get it Right" by The Climax Blues Band. The fun and humour shines through

Blind Faith - Blind Faith
James, had this passed you by or had you just never managed to get around to purchase ?
As you say fantastic music and now I even enjoy "Do What You Like" but I do remember being a bit underwhelmed at Ginger Baker's effort on release as a twelve year old . Glag you found it anyway .
Now Playing........
Egberto Gismonti - Dança das Cabeças
Egberto Gismonti (8-string guitar, piano, wood flutes, voice) and Nana Vasconcelos (percussion, berimbau, corpo, voice)
Streaming on NAS.......... Arrived in yesterday's mail, ripped and now taking out for a spin. The capability of listening to an artist on TIDAL a couple of times before adding some music to the collection. Love this album....... ......and fantastic music to start the day!

It was a bit before my time Alan hence it passed me by on first release
Paul McCartney - Memory Almost Full, really enjoy some of the material on here but would like to hear a less compressed version but apparently McCartney wanted it this way, ah well.
Exploring my purchases made this week. Another new (old) one for me....
Traffic - John Barleycorn Must Die
Now Playing.......
Egberto Gismonti - Saudações
Egberto Gismonti (guitars), Alexandre Gismonti (guitars), Camerata Romeu (Cuba’s all-women orchestra): Zenaida Romeu (conductor).
Streaming on TIDAL: A two album affair, the first featuring Gismonti the composer on a 70-minute journey through Brazil: “Sertões Veredas – tribute to miscegenation”. The second featuring Gismonti the guitarist, a duet with his son. Opening tracks are fascinating and this may be a another purchase.......
Wayne Shorter - The Soothsayer
Back onto something more recent (well 17 years old). A firm favourite for me at the time and still a good listen now.
Turin Brakes - The Optimist LP
Back from three days visiting friends in Bend Oregon and "listening" to this
Now home and "looking" at this

Abe Rabade Trio - "Once" (2016) as recommended by Bert. Excellent.
Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers
(1976 | 2015)
Even by the standards of the time their eponymous debut album is a short album running to just 30 minutes but it's fine music which leaves you wanting more from Tom Petty and the boys. This rip is another of those fine sounding Warner Bros. Hi-Res remasters from the Bernie Grundman studios (in 2015)
