On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

Thanks Haim, that looks interesting, not often you see world premiere recordings from a composer who’s been dead two centuries. I love woodwind classical-period music, I have dinner guests this evening, will give those YT links a look tomorrow.
Freddie Hubbard & Woody Shaw - Double Take
Great recording by two giants of the trumpet.
- Alto Saxophone, Flute – Kenny Garrett
- Bass – Cecil McBee
- Drums – Carl Allen
- Piano – Mulgrew Miller
- Trumpet – Woody Shaw
- Trumpet, Flugelhorn – Freddie Hubbard
The Beatles Mono Masters, WAV CD rip
From the Beatles In Mono box set, non-album releases of well known and not quite as well known numbers. There was a reason they were the biggest band in the world, they wrote great pop and rock songs, catchy simple numbers and complex works of art, and performed them brilliantly.
Playing on Compact Disc on Corn Fed Productions - Nice Double album of Misty's Singles 1978 -1986
Tidal. Kacey Musgraves - Golden Hour Joining Ewemon and many others.
Richard Morris posted:Jeroen20 posted:Florian Pellissier quintet - Bijou Voyou Caillou
- Double Bass – Yoni Zelnik
- Drums – David Georgelet
- Piano – Florian Pellissier
- Saxophone – Christophe Panzani
- Trumpet – Yoann Loustalot
Any good? I like Bitches Bleues by the same group.
It's good but imo not as good as Bitches Bleues. Bitches Bleus has more of a modern bebop style. This album is more varied, with some funk elements, vocal tracks and modern bebop.
Esbjorn Svensson Trio - "From Gagarin's Point Of View" (1999)
Some classic Mac. Had the album since its release and continue to enjoy it.
Luqman Hamza: With This Voice (SACD)
Beck - Morning Phase
Don't think I have ever listened to anything by Beck until now. I am rather enjoying this. Easy listening and great sound quality.
Discovering new music is becoming a rather intriguing and rewarding hobby.
Nice - but for the drama towards the end of the Bolero might be a bit more...
Had a quick listen into this one, not so much my style, while the sound of a Sting fits in the concept...
This is recommended. Some guys from Bandcamp who play the old songs of Oscar Peterson in a modern live jazz sound, enjoyable...
The contemporary jazz scene of Spain has some great musicians. This trio is a good example of what can be find...
Just finished......
Bill Morrissey - Standing Eight
Streamed on NAS.......... a recent arrival and took out for another spin, enjoy Bill's baritone voice, lyrics and music!
Jan Lundgren Trio - "European Standards" (2009)
to be followed by:
Standards Trio - "The Cure" (1990) Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock, and Jack DeJohnette
Now Playing.......
Jan Galbarek - Folk Songs
Jan Garbarek (tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone), Egberto Gismonti (8-string guitar, super 8-string guitar, piano), Charlie Haden (double-bass).
Streaming on NAS........... Continuing on with more music from the Egberto Gismonti catalogue, this is one fantastic trio!
Just enjoyed this Nerina album, in particular because she sang some songs from it when I saw her perform last Monday. I used to think this was her best album but I think the new one, Stay Lucky, shades it.
(1999)
Alison Krauss - Forget About It
Because sometimes I just long to listen to her sweet voice and songs.

Good call, Steve. Just popped on some AK myself.
Following Steve's lead, last one of the evening.
Marillion
Brave (Dave Meegan Mix) - 16/44.1
Listen to what I think is the original mix (Dave Meegan Mix), another brilliant album from Marillion.
This Deluxe Edition also has the “Steven Wilson Mix” will give it a listen soon.
Edward
Due out 18th May but certainly hits a spot for me tonight
Tidal. Lindi Ortega - Cigarettes & Truckstops Mentioned by Graemeh. Country not my fab, but not bad a little.
I’ve been auditioning record players this week, so blowing the dust off a few of my favourite LP’s and greatly enjoying them during the dems. Here’s a few that were sounding so good and have me wanting to invest again in a disc spinner..
Robert Cray, False Accusations
George Thorogood, Move it on Over
Loudon Wainwright, I’m Alright
Elvis Costello, Imperial Bedroom
David Bowie, Aladdin Sane
