Eric Bibb - Booker's Guitar.
Slipping into a mellow frame of mind before going to see Mr. Bibb this evening.
Enjoy it Dave. He’s really good Live - better than on record IMO. I saw him many years ago at Freight & Salvage, just outside San Francisco. We have tix for his Exeter gig in May too.
Really looking forward to this, especially as it will be in a small, sold out, 200 seater intimate venue, only 30 mins. drive from home.
Will report back tomorrow.
Excellent gig last night at The Pocklington Arts Centre, with Eric and his three piece band in stonking form.
Many old favourites played, together with several songs from the current album, "Migration Blues", and, afterwards, possibly as it was a small venue, Eric and the band only too happy to chat with folks in the foyer.
All in all, a great night out, and if you can get hold of tickets for any of the remaining gigs, (unlikely, as it seems to be sold out most places), I urge you to do so ..................... you're unlikely to be disappointed.
Oh, and the support act, a young chap by the name of Rob Green was hugely entertaining too, and is well worth checking out.
Fabulous gig at Exeter last night too. I can’t add too much to Dave’s write up as he says it all perfectly. Amazing that this level of musicianship can be experienced in the flesh in such tiny venues. Financially, It’s a tough way for them to make a living, but one that Eric and band clearly still greatly enjoy and that fact definitely comes across in the performance. Still some dates to be had in the U.K. and many elsewhere in Europe. Lots in Germany and a few in France, Italy, Switzerland. Don’t miss it. Kevin

On vinyl. Gets better every time you hear it.
Playing on Compact Disc....
On CD:-
Alice Cooper - Billion Dollar Babies
Strange album with multiple styles, but quite enjoyable to hear. While he hasn’t the fluent playing of some of the more established Mozart players...
Could be a bit more dynamic in my eyes....., will listen it a couple of times more for a good verdict...
Turned up in the post this morning ripped and played very enjoyable.
Another in the post today ripped and playing Willie Nelson at his very best.
Disc 2 from this set.
