On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Just finished this. While the music is great, sometimes the sound stays a bit behind....

The Rolling Stones - 1st. Album.
In mono, as it should be .......... from the mono boxset.
Ah ................ Dansette Days are here again! ................ (with apologies to Led Zep).
I used to have this one until a party in the early 1970s. I ask for it back from time to time! Quite collectible!
Phil
Yes, mine went too, though it simply wore out through endless playing.
Those Dansettes ................. tracking force? ................... bias? .................who cares, just sling it on!
Nice album by the Streets - Just love Mike Skinner's straight foward words and our English take on Hip - Hop.Playing on Compact Disc on 679 Artists -2006
and now Dire Straits - Love Over Gold, my second ever cd
Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland.
Final one in my wee nostalgia fest ......... the incomparable Jimi ........... and the full length version of Voodoo Chile? ........... Blimey!
Willy Porter - How To Rob A Bank
Giving this its second outing.
Pretty good.
Eric Clapton
Journeyman - 16/44.1
Edward
Playing on Vinyl on Green Sleeves Records - On my Technics SL 1210..........in analog heaven ......
Moby - Play. Moby - 18. Moby - Hotel.
Signing off this evening with these three in my nostalgia fest, but hey, there's some great choons here.
I have to own up and say that much of the reason for playing so much "old" familiar stuff today was to finally decide on the 4.6
firmware update on my sadly obsolete NDS.
Well, I'm firmly in the yeasayers camp .................. Blimey!
ND 555? .................... naah.

Ah, but you already have two 555PSDRs. If an ND555 with one 555PSDR beat your current set up, you could trade in one PS with your NDS and you'd be able to upgrade at minimal cost. You could even add a second PS at a later date.
There's a dilemma for you!
Intriguing album from her, I belief she will be at North Sea Jazz @ should check her out if true...
Got this out to play after being reminded of the two studio tracks originally tagged on to the live album.A more polished performance than previous live albums, which was to become the norm from here on.
Last one of the evening eagerly awaiting the new one...

La la la la ...............I can't hear you!

Japan - Tin Drum.
Continuing the nostalgia fest, this wasn't really my sort of music at all, but bought it on the strength of the single, "Ghosts", and was
wowed by the atmospheric feel of the album, plus, of course, Mick Khan's sublime fretless bass playing.
Yep, very good stuff Dave. If you don't have any of David Sylvians solo albums ("as it wasn't your sort of music") you might like to Tidalise one or two of them? Gone to Earth from 1986 is very good IMHO and well worth a go.
Cheers
Thanks Steve, will do.
I thoroughly recommend this:

Thanks. It's a '62, which I bought for £400 plus a Fender Mustang in 1980. I kept it for 25 years and played it almost exclusively. It was originally fitted with a Bigsby, but that was removed before I purchased it. I added new covers on the PAFs and the TP-6 tailpiece. Sold it for rather a lot more!
2011 - CD (rip)...
Now playing........
Lucinda Williams - Sweet Old World
Streaming on TIDAL......... This just may be my favorite Lucinda Williams album, it just may be......
