'J to Z' on BBC Radio 3. Superb jazz for this beautiful, sunny Spring evening. Just need a Pimms and lemonade and all will be well.

Josefin Öhrn and The Liberation
A nice remixed single and B side in hi-res from their latest album which was made ahead of their Euro tour last year.
Fink - Hard Believer.
No matter my mood, I find that a wee blast of Mr. Greenall sets things up nicely for any ensuing listening session.

I only saw them once on the Number the Brave tour 1981 and thought they where great.I remember they started the set with "The King will come" it was wicked.Argus is their big album.
Happy listening - Rock on Mate
Yes I caught them at The Fairfield Halls in Croydon on their 1973 tour. It was a really good night loads of their early big numbers got played (very well) the place was rocking. If you don't happen to have any of their live albums go for Live Dates (not Live Dates 2 or 3) good stuff from their early years.
Cheers.
Argus is my favourite Wishbone Ash set and also saw them a few times in the 70's .Lost interest in them after I had a fight with them on a tour bus.
Brilliant, Ewemon. Bet there aren't many people who can claim that!
I agree Argus is their best.
Laurie Wisefield who I saw and liked in the band Home had not long joined.
If memory serves me well think There's the Rub was about to be released.
Saw WA on their 'Just Testing" tour - Sheffield City Hall. I thought Wisefield was excellent.
Fabulous debut album by REM - Always enjoy hearing it.Playing on Vinyl on IRS Records 1984
After all the chores, before the run and the afternoon coffee.
Larry Schneider - Just Cole Porter
Larry Schneider - Sax
Andy Laverne - Piano
Mike Richmond - Bass
Keith Copeland - Drums
Haven't played this album in a while. Visceral!
(2016)
Ray LaMontagne - Ourorboros
Just lay back and let it wash over you ...
Dipping my nose further into Marillion...
Wilko Johnson/Roger Daltrey - Going Back Home - WAV CD rip
Having realised I’m going to see Wilko in Leeds on Thursday and not Manchester on Saturday as I’d thought, getting some revision in. This is a storming album, recorded when Wilko thought his cancer was going to take him within the year, he played with fire and passion on Feelgood tracks and other numbers, and Daltrey is in great voice. This is pub rock R&B played by one of the master guitarists of the style, sung superbly by one of the great rock singers. high energy from start to finish. And even better is the fact that Wilko made it through and is still touring.
(I have happy memories of watching him in the back room of the Torrington pub in Finchley several times in the ‘80s. It had a lowish ceiling above the stage, he always managed to hit his head doing one of his split leg jumps, he never seemed to learn and did it every time as I remember.)

Looking forward to Thursday too ........... should be a larf.
I'm fully up to speed on Wilko, and have directed my daughter and her guitar slinging other half towards YouTube to get some swatting in.
Now Playing........
The Paul Bley Quartet
Paul Bley (piano), John Surman (soprano saxophone, bass clarinet), Bill Frisell (guitar), and Paul Motian (drums).
Streaming from NAS......... Moving back to the sweet music of The Paul Bley Quartet, fantastic musicians!
Dr. Feelgood - Down By The Jetty.
The mention of Wilko leads, inevitably, to this ................. their first album, and a classic.

I spotted you were going as well, but didn't comment at the time as for some reason I’d put the Saturday gig in Manchester in my Calendar. Really looking forward to it, Wilko in a Student Union will take me back well over 30 years, at least until my back starts giving out and I remember I’m not 18 any more.

Seems we're members of the same club then!
Great movie and soundtrack …
Dr. Feelgood, Best of the Wilko Johnson Years, WAV CD rip
And back to the source, a great compilation of the Feelgoods in their glory years. Pure pub R&B by a tight band with a great vocalist, Lee Brilleaux’s hard-edged growl and wailing blues-harp working brilliantly with Wilko Johnson’s choppy guitar. This album opens with Roxette, what a great driving guitar line to open, it could only be Wilko, and it raises the energy level immediately.

Absolutely! Great album. Enjoy the gig.
Had to play this album after hearing the opening track, Passion Dance, on 'J to Z' on BBC Radio 3 earlier. A bit of a favourite album for me.
