Snap - For anybody who likes new-age guitar music I cannot recommend this highly enough. One of my desert island vinyls - breath-taking playing and musicianship.  Don't be put off by the new age tag. Another musical genius who died well before their time. Luckily I picked up an original issue vinyl (I should have bought several!) and WH's recordings are spot on with vinyl (no need for 180g here).

Up for its fortieth birthday and very well worth playing.

40!! Yikes, I can remember when it was cool to be seen with this album tucked under your arm. Think I'll join you. 'Palm Trees (Love Guitar)' is my favourite track on here - I love the floaty guitar.

Is there ever a need for 180g vinyl? I've not been that impressed so far.

Steve, there’s an excellent live double album of the band in Düsseldorf 1979. Highly recommended.

Thanks as ever Nick, your music knowledge just blows me away.

Ha, yes. Floaty guitar is a nice description.

Hi Ewemon, Would be interested to know what you are playing as you are so positive about. You missed to publish it or I can't see it...

Funnily enough Bert I can see the pic in your reply. It is a live recording of Tracy Chapman in 1988. Mind you I am playing this through my Computer system as I don't stream at all in the house so SQ might not be as good through my main system

Just the job on this lovely warm and sunny May day.

What about being out in the garden? Steve, by the way good choice of music.

Admittedly I'm rescuing the garden after the tenancy ended a week ago, but satisfying to find what lies beneath and think of the many plants there to be enjoyed.

Relaxing now and waiting The the white wine to chill a bit.

Phil

Phil,

I had a few hours on the golf course this morning then back home I put together a light lunch after which I spent a couple of hours tidying in the garden broken up occasionally with some puppy training followed by a walk with him. Made a roast chicken dinner accompanied in the making by copious quantities of over chilled Chardonnay and some music.

Slange

Steve,

You have been busy! I managed 6 hours gardening. My good wife had roasted a lovely small lamb joint followed by spotted dick and custard. Beautiful evening sun getting through the walnut which has yet to leaf. I should cut it down because the squirrels steal all the nuts before they are ready to drop.

The Cabernet Sauvignon tasted good. I wil finish it tonight!

Phil

Well done Phil, it would seem that you also had a good and tasty day!

Steve, Last year I made many lift style changes because I had a potential Stage 3a Prostate Cancer diagnosis. No wine or coffee, lots of fruit and lots of gardening. Lost weight and PSA dropped from 13 to 10. Had it removed end of September and it turned out it was Stage 2c and all removed. Made a full recovery now apart from the nerve damage which takes a while.

I now have wine occasionally and espresso after dinner. Music and gardening are important, the later for vitamin D and lower blood pressure. Fund raising pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela (500 Miles) during October.

A nice ☀️ afternoon in the garden listening to

I listened chronologically but I think shuffle would have been better as it would be more akin to a latter day John Peel show with a good mix of guitar and techno (for the want of a better term)

Spent the day amalgamating music from different HDD's to artist folders and just found out I have over 70gb of the Tangs music.

Christ when will I have the time to play them all.

Jon Hopkins new album Singularity is the brilliant follow up to his 2013 album Immunity. Some hi tempo beats combined with chill out piano plus his signature deep bass!
