Finally getting around to listening to his latest album via Qobuz, joining the Cooderfest.

Ry Cooder - Into The purple Valley.

Continuing the late afternoon Cooderfest with this one ................ though Señor Cooder has been so consistently good down the

decades, that one could choose almost any of his many albums, and be certain that one would not be disappointed, IMHO.

Now Playing........

Oregon - Oregon

Oregon - Oregon

Paul McCandless  (soprano saxophone, oboe, tin flute, English horn, bass clarinet, musette), Ralph Towner  (prophet 5 synthesizer, piano, classical guitar, 12-string guitar), Collin Walcott  (percussion, tongue drum, sitar, bass drum, voice), and Glen Moore  (double-bass, viola, piano).

Streaming on TIDAL.........   Exploring the Oregon catalogue, going back to the original, sounding mighty fine!

Prompted by the sunny weather. This album's vibrancy seems suited somehow. Would also suit being played loud in a convertible car while cruising the sunny seaside.

Yes, Mike, I think it has quite an American feel to it. I could imagine the driving beat of BIg Love pounding out whilst cruising along Sunset Boulevard - great stuff.

Currently listening to Ireland’s RTÉ Lyric Fm on iradio. Programme is live 7pm to 9pm UTC +1 Sunday thru Thursday and called the Mystery Train and is hosted by John Kelly who’s a well respected musical dude in Ireland, the music is fantastic and fits right in with the general eclectic genres and tastes of what’s being posted here and along with this thread and Radio Paradise is responsible for introducing me to some great new music and artists. It’s only 128k but sounds pretty good. Check it out!
