On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
And last one this afternoon before I get Camelled out, the one which started my interest in the band I guess, Snowgoose.

Some Percy, on vinyl...
What is Percy about?
That's his nickname, Phil.
Thanks Clive, you beat me to it...
A duo album from two jazz greats. Wonderful.

Scarily, this is over forty years old now and what a fine debut album it was.

The Corrs - Forgiven not Forgotten - WAV CD rip
Debut album, and for me their best. Some excellent trad style instrumentals, and some very good Irish pop-rock numbers. The title track, Someday and Runaway are classic songs, intelligently written and played, the musicianship is consistently at a high level, Andrea has a lovely voice and interprets songs superbly, and as you’d expect from siblings they play off each other really well.
Gosh! Don't think I've seen the Corrs on here before. Maybe not very fashionable these days. But I agree, Eoink. They've got talent. I'll have to give this a play soon.
1990 - TIDAL...
Cream - Royal Albert Hall London,May 2005, it might not be 1967 anymore but they gave it a go and it was well captured on audio and video formats.Super performance of "Stormy Monday" a highlight for me.
Miles Davis - Sorcerer Original 1st press U.S vinyl sounds absolutely fantastic Herbie Hancock's piano playing is absolutely first class highly recommended.
AlanP's post of Cream live at the RAH prompted me to reach for this.
Peter Gabriel
Peter Gabriel 1 - 24/96
Edward
Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment - Italian Baroque Concertos - WAV CD rip
A BBC Music cover disc from years ago, the OAE play beautifully, I had a yearning for some heavily ornamented Baroque and this selection fitted the bill wonderfully. Handel, Vivaldi, Corelli, Scarlatti and others, great freebie.
After Disraeli Gears I fancied another dollop of Cream.
Boz Scaggs - Memphis
Listening to Truth by the Jeff Beck group with Rod Stewart on vocals and Ronnie Wood on Bass. Beck rated Rod as his blues singer and moved on to mainly female singers. Supposedly inspired Led Zeppelin.
Listened to this before and compared it with the Manfred Honeck Version. I think this one is less expressive, the Manfred Honeck one has a special Charme....
Now moved into jazz...

I must get some of Jeff Beck's work.

My apologies for posting this one yet again, I've been playing it a fair bit recently. It's probably my favourite Procol album, who could possibly resist this album after that great opening bass guitar on track one, Simple Sister?
