Ok, trying my newly aquired skill at posting a picture:
Tarja Turunen - Act 1
A live performance recording, this was my introduction to this artist - good as it covers a range of her music, and pretty good recording. I think the best overall description I can give is a fusion of symphonic and heavy rock, a but grungy in places, vocals by a classically trained soprano (Tarja). Personal favourite track: I Walk Alone, which just begs to be played loud . This album led me to explore her other music, with some other gems to discover.
Edit: well. Patently the pic posting didn’t work. I’ll have another go
and now for a leisurely afternoon.
Fancied some Tull on this fine Sunday afternoon.
Conor Oberst and The Mystic Valley Band - Outer South
Sunshine feelgood. Harmony-filled Difference is Time is sublime.
Madeleine Peyroux: Secular Hymns. Sunny weather music, good recording too.
Planetary Assault Systems. Temporary Suspension.
From 2006. Thundering, full on, big room techno from Luke Slater.
I was only recently introduced to this album and very pleased I am to!
If you don't know it give it a go.

It's not just the cover that draws me back to it time and time again. I swear!!
I wonder where Carly hangs her hat and bag.

I’ve been busy gardening getting borders ready for a host of summer flowers from dahlias to bedding plants grown from seed. Over winter the lemon balm, ox eye daisies and forget me nots had taken over, but today was time to go.
Enjoying a delicious glass of the devil’s castle (Cassillero del Diablo) Reserve Sauvignon Blanc before some Heavy Horses for tired gardeners.

Nigel, It would be different if we could wind back the clock! My Beach Boys posting yesterday made me think of a Californian girl from summer 1971. I got invited to her wedding in 1972 but I’d met my wife!
