I heard 'Murder of Birds' played yesterday which reminded me to give this one a spin. Fantastic voice and a rather nice recording too.

Sandoval up to his usual pyrotechnics, but with the volume turned up a bit this afternoon - great stuff !

I’ve just got this, as it features John Taylor, one of my favourite jazz pianists. I’d never heard of the French bass player - his name is misspelt in the metadata - but he is very good indeed.

(1969)

More fine music this one The Allman Brothers Band's eponymous debut which still sounds wonderful.

(2010)

Bad Vibrations - The Black Angels

These boys doing their great psych and acid rock stuff again, on the title track they are paying mighty fine homage to one part of their musical influences with great sounding Jim Morrison like vocals backing up their riffs.

And the final one for last night:

"There & Back" - Jeff Beck (CD)

It seems that some people quite like this album, but so far, not one of my favorites from Beck, though it has its moments; perhaps the production doesn't help?

I'll have to give it some more listens, to see if I can get into it more, as I've recently found "Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop" to be rather more enjoyable than I remembered.

I am one such. I think this might be his best. I think it'll be worth the effort.

Dave Edmunds - Chronicles, a comprehensive best of .Why? Because I've been amazed by "I Hear You Knocking " from the first time I heard it on Top Of The Pops in 1970

Jethro Tull - Heavy Horses - vinyl

As promised yesterday after a hard day’s gardening. Too many things to do on Sunday. But enjoying how the new 252 has brought this even more alive. An exciting interplay of strings and wind.

Felt like the horse yesterday as I dug the patches for the flowers. Added an arbor with the help of my former builder, now a retired handyman. Now we can enjoy the sun with some protection when it’s high in the sky. Must try that that Sauvignon Blanc seated with friends and Family in the arbor. Can see the appeal of a wireless speaker.
