On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

Good Album by American garage Rock Band Green on Red - Playing on Vinyl on Mercury Records 1987
Five years ago at NPR...
Though singer Matt Berninger had barely rested his voice from a show in the area the night before, The National dutifully performed gorgeous acoustic renditions of four tracks from its fine new album, Trouble Will Find Me. Its members even treated the hundreds of worshipful gawkers to Building 2.0's first-ever Tiny Desk encore, in response to a roar of applause that could be heard in the far reaches of the newsroom downstairs.
It prompted me to play the album afterwards.

Funny, just wanted to post this one
Fink - Perfect Darkness.
Taking a hint from SEAKAYAKER, and playing what will probably be the first of several offerings from Mr. Greenall this evening.
For anyone not yet on board the Fink bandwagon, most of his albums are there on Tidal .......... and yes, he really is that good. (IMHO).

I am really liking this. Another great band that have passed me by.
Jeff, I know it can be a pain explaining the '....why....?' of this thread, but it was your last comment that made this an irresistible first listen for me. Without a comment, I may well have overlooked this talented band. I guess I need to be more inquisitive.
As always, thanks to you from this music lover for posting on here.

I’ve been tempted lately to start a thread -a favourite 5 : (because that seems to work) albums that you found through the forum. If I had got off my backside and started it - this would have been one of those top 5, originally recommended by George (while still Frederick I believe).

Elbow - The Seldom Seen Kid
Because its been quite few years since I've played anything from Elbow (I somehow got a bit tired of them, probably from playing too often), anyway this is a very fine album with humour to be found lurking around various musical corners.

I don’t know what I missed that sparked your initial post, but it really is great to see such great passion about music here, rather than willy waving. Well done sir.
This is saved to my “check out” playlist.
