What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Bach’s harpsichord concertos, in a very classy, lifelike recording. A recent third instalment includes works for two harpsichords, with Pierre Hantai, which I’d like to hear soon.
Cheers
EJ
Dr. John - Locked Down.
Some New Orleans fonky madness from the Nite Tripper, with no little assistance from Dan Auerbach, of The Black Keys.

Good stuff, zikarus. I've got this one sitting in my bandcamp wish list I've enjoyed much of their catalogue of work.
I like it as well. Just got it off 7 digital for £6.49 for 24/28 - cheaper than BC in this case. You are right - its easy to spot Kraftwerk in there.
Thanks for the heads up, SJT.
Norah Jones - Feels Like Home
Why? Why not?
Update: Hold on....is that Dolly Parton heppin' Norah out? Well that's reason enough!
I haven't played any Evanescence for ages. Something to blow the cobwebs away
Roland Kirk: Slightly Latin. Not quite my favourite Roland but enough good playing to make it very listenable.
(1978)
Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street
Suddenly the fine opening sax' on Baker St. came into my head so I just had to dust this one off and give it a whirl. Edit* just to say this was well recorded and still has a good dynamic range even when ripped from silver disc.

I used to love that song when I was a young man and I don't think I've got it on CD. Must correct that.

It's a super album, Mike, I appreciate it more now than I did as a yoof when I was obsessed with hard, heavy, rock, prog , early metal and psychedelia. It would be a fine album to get back in your collection.

I'll have a look, Steve. Thanks.

Melody Gardot - Worrisome Heart
Yes, listening to Melody (I kid myself we are on first name terms), she's as sultry as she looks, and then some.
Just so relaxing, but engrossing at the same time.
The Black Keys - Brothers.
I mentioned Dan Auerbach in my last post .................. so, .................this one, which is most likely the best one from them, IMHO.

You should be so lucky, Nigel. And you'd need to join the queue.
Eagles
One of These Nights - 24/96

One Evanescence album led to another........the wick is turned up this evening!

That is such a good album.
Ride On - Wooden Shjips (from ‘V.’)
First listen today to this the new album - this is, for me, the stand-out track, with a mellow but stone-heavy vibe. I love this band.
Sharon Robinson - Everybody Knows
There is an understated class about this one that I find appealing.
Eric Bibb - Me To You, purchased at the weekend and first play and I'm very impressed
A favourite track from my favourite Cure album. Secrets from Seventeen Seconds.
My go to MP album is Bare Bones but this one has been getting a lot of plays of late.
Madeleine Peyroux - Half the perfect world
Fancied a bit of classic power pop. The much missed Jellyfish with Bellybutton.

My pleasure - at that price it was worth a punt. I have played it twice now all the way through and I like it all. Thanks to zikarus for the original recommendation.
I just spotted my mistake above - it should have been 24/48!
