What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Was just browsing my record collection looking for inspiration. I found this. The last time I played this was probably on a Lingo/Ittok/Troika LP12 with 52/135 amps. It sounds a fair bit bigger now. It also seems more accessible, as if it makes better sense than before.
OK this is a little obscure but connected to the recent post about Steve Hillage.
If you don't know this album please give it a go as it's wonderful.

Stephen Stills - Tidal HiFi
First time ever listening to a Steven Stills solo album, enjoying it a lot, I have listen to CSN many times but as I have said this is the first time listening to a Stills solo.
Edward
It's a super album, Edward. Stephen Stills 2 and Manassas are also very fine and since you have enjoyed his debut album these are well worth checking out.
Now Playing.......
Boz Scaggs - Come On Home
Streaming on TIDAL....... A Boz type of day, a smooth beat with horns and distinct vocals, sounding mighty fine!
Caravan - For Girls Who Grow Plump in the Night.
Playing this in anticipation of the Astoria releases which I've just ordered.
Nitin Sawhney - Prophesy
This is all I have of his. Seems amazingly varied. Talented guy.
Stephen Stills
Stephen Stills 2 - Tidal HiFi
Thank you for the recommendation STEVEE_S, so far this is sounding even better than the first one.
Edward
The mention of Manchester (albeit the one closer to home) reminded me to get this loaded up...
Happy Mondays - Pills 'n' thrills and bellyaches

Chris, go straight to Gearbox Records site (do not pass Go etc..) and purchase his live at Ronnie Scott’s LP. You can thank me later...
Joe Jackson - Look Sharp!, considering this is his debut album its quite accomplished and its amazing to marvel at the diverse music he went on to produce from here.Apparently the cover was ranked 22 in Rolling Stone's list of Top 100 covers!

Chris ,I have the Prophesy album and also Human which is decent and can be picked up for pennies in the usual place
Richard and Alan, Thank you, I will check out these recommendations.

Humble Pie - Rock On
Some Humble Pie to possibly finish off the evening. Why? Well, it's the same vintage as Hot Tuna, It has a faintly similar vibe and It's been years since I've played it. Some stellar names with this band in the early days, Steve Marriot, Peter Frampton, Bobby Tench vocalist and guitarist from The Jeff Beck Group and quite a few others. This is a cool old album.

Glad your enjoying it Ted,
Its a superb album."Cherokee" -"Sit your self down "- "Old times good times " and "Go back home" -with Claptons guitar solo are all brilliant tracks. One of those albums where there isn't really a bad song.
Pinchas Zukerman - Mendelssohn/Tchaikovsky Violin Concertos - vinyl
Original first release LP and one of my favourites. Got me sitting on the edge of the seat with the intensity of the music. Always sounded good no matter I played it on, but now .....
He often played with Du Pre and Barenboim. They were the talent of the sixties onwards.

Mark Knopfler - The Ragpicker's Dream
Delightfully simple and unpretentious. Another artist who doesn't take himself too seriously (well at this stage in his career anyway) which endears the listener to his music. Don't get me wrong there are some well crafted songs here, delivered in a wonderful laid back style.
Marillion
Unplugged At The Walls (Live) - Tidal HiFi
According to some of the reviews on the “river” steve decided to make a deal with a local restaurant free grub in exchange for a low profile acoustic set!, ‘this is the live album that followed.
Edward
Dan Arborise - Of Tide & Trail
Recalling a lunch of grilled asparagus, pea and mint, chilli, and poached egg, with a glass of pale ale at Thyme and Tides, in Stockbridge, Hampshire, on Monday.
Chris (putting the whimsy back into the forum).
Have chosen a bit of Jimi as an antidote to a long working day.
Joining in with the Stephen Stills love-in as its the only album of his that I own.But it is a belter

Love the track "Quality Shoe" which I'm sure is a nod to Roger Miller's "King Of The Road"
(1976)
A fine earlyish Jeff Beck album to finish off with, surely no reason why required?
