On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Nice jazz vocal album from yesterday..
Now listening to these guys, happy I uncovered them...
Very relaxing album of World Music to get Saturday morning going playing on Compact Disc
Earlier... Released 2015 - Some juicy alto solos on this one.????
24/88 digital. I accept these guys are superb guitarists, and it's a great recording, but the music itself left me cold. So busy with unnecessary noodling and trying to outdo each other in virtuosity they forgot the music.
Now... Released 2010 - Fabulous album, recommended. ????
Released 2015 - Excellent debut album, produced by T Bone Burnett. ????
Just back from me 'ols, and what could be better from blowing away those "Just Got Back From My Holiday" Blues than a bit of Bobbie G on vinyl? This gets better every time one hears it.
10cc - The Original Soundtrack.
The Silver Seas - Alaska
Sunny Saturday crowdpleaser.
Double vinyl released 1972. ????
Bert Schurink posted:A strong rhythmic base gives a bit a faint feeling of Nik Bartsch, but then a stronger context with guitar soloing / ambient on top, hypnotic type of music...verdict still out for me...
Some people might also have a feeling of King Crimson...
An excellent description Bert - Nik Bartsch's Ronin meets modern King Crimson. Really enjoying this.
LP One of this box, reissued on vinyl last month, and the first chance I've had to listen. I have the original 4-LP set too, but haven't done a comparison. It's a rather overworked, sterile document in any case. There are better bootlegs from this tour (though not in as good SQ, obviously).

Welcome back, Kevin. You can continue to tease and frustrate me by flaunting this vinyl that I'm unable to play or hear!
The Rolling Stones - Live in Texas 1978, essentially the Some Girls tour with 7 of that albums' songs performed during the set.
On CD:-
Ryan Adams - Love is Hell

George Harrison - Thirty Three & 1/3, a melodic return to form from " The Quiet One" with an album sound that was to become a blueprint for the next couple of releases.Beautiful guitar throughout.
Original vinyl released 1985 - Young’s commercial failure album, I like it. ????
Original vinyl released 1976 - Underated Stills album, features a cover of Young’s “The Loner” ????
Another good album from Ryley....
Damien Jurados new fine album
