On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
A relaxing piece of Vivaldi to get Sunday morning rolling - Playing on Compact Disc on Hyperion Records
The Beach Boys - Surf's Up. EMI 100 180g reissue from 1997.
One of my favourite albums, with this issue cut from the analogue tapes being probably the best way to hear it - I prefer this one to the recent Analogue Productions reissue.
On a contemplative Sunday morning I am listening to Echoes by Ludovico Einaldi on CD.
Double 45 rpm reissue on Analogue Productions released 2009 - No double bogeys on this one.????
Fluent playing with nice acoustics..
Pink Floyd
The Dark Side Of The Moon - 24/96

Vinyl released 1984 - One of the best albums to come out of Liverpool. ????

Steve Miller Band - Greatest Hits, heard "The Joker" whilst out shopping first thing, so after that prompt this will do nicely.Austrailian copy, where did that come from ?
Fine Singer from Crosby Liverpool. This album was voted one of the top Americana albums last year. He did a few tracks with Garry Tallent at Tallents superb Cavern gig. ????
Kraftwerk
Computer World 3-D 24/44.1

Haven't played this for a while and as always when I do hear the Fab 4,I always get that smile on my face as they write such beautiful lyrics in such a simple straight forward way - Playing on Vinyl on EMI Records
Good to see you back Kev......You have our "This Charming Man" at West Ham in Pellers ......
On a delightfully sunny afternoon, I am listening to one of the greatest living composers of our time - The Music of John Williams: 40 Years of Film Music. Performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
The strings in the Jaws Theme consume me with fear before fading into the depths of oblivion. Two beautifully recorded CDs: an indulgent pleasure to tantalise the senses before lunch.
Released 1964 - Still sounds fresh.????
Recorded off the radio on 8th April onto a TDK D C60 cassette, this is the BBC Radio 6 Freakzone Playlist of up and coming avant-musician and field recordist Cosmo Sheldrake. A wildly eclectic mix on this tape, from Kenyan devotional songs, through to wildlife recordings via Robert Wyatt and his own stuff. An absolute joy!
Free - Heartbreaker, absolutely brilliant, love the way Paul Rodgers sings " blue guitar " during "Travellin' In Style" like a true 'Boro lad
Electric Light Orchestra
A New World Recorded - 24/96

Vinyl released 2008 - This is a great album. I saw her do a solo acoustic gig at Liverpool University a few years back. She was brilliant and is a fine guitar player.
She broke my dream when I found out she was a dyke.
As Ian Dury said “What A Waste”.????
Neil Young - Harvest, 1980s Nice Price vinyl
After a few days down in London, back to the stereo, and listening to this in the lunch interval of the Test. I’ve had the "Harvest trilogy” in my head for a few days, so playing it. Great soft rock, some beautiful songs, Neil Young sings so tenderly over brilliant musicianship, one to savour.
Herbie Hancock - "Quartet" (1982) Herbie Hancock - piano; Tony Williams - drums; Ron Carter - bass; and introducing Wynton Marsalis - trumpet. (Wynton's first solo album had just been released, as well.)
