What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
This album arrived today. I heard 'Underpass' on the radio the other day and it took me back to my 10 year old self taping my favourite songs off the Top 40 on a Sunday evening. It's only taken me 38 years to finally buy a John Foxx album
John Foxx - Modern Art
Now Playing........
Terry Evans - Anthology
Streaming on TIDAL....... Going with mention from DAN STEEL and taking one of Terry's albums out for a spin. They did not have "Blues For Thought" listed on TIDAL so choose "Anthology" from the list........ Terry has a fantastic gravely voice and fine guitar, sounding mighty fine!
1967 - Vinyl - UK first (mono)pressing...
Ry Cooder - Chavez Ravine, this is getting a rare spin as I am not a big fan of his "story" albums.Hard to deny though that there is still some excellent music involved.
Vinyl released 1977 - Time for some Newman.
1967 - Vinyl - UK first (mono) pressing...
That was some decade...
Last one tonight ,Stanley Turrentine - Hustlin'.
Released. 1970 - sticking with Newman but with a little touch of Nilsson. ????
One from the brilliant Nilsson The RCA Album Collection.

Sean Rowe - New Lore
Sad after listening to Gregg Allman's last album, somehow this one from Mr. Rowe seems fit to follow on, what a lovely voice he has.
Steve, I was listening to this SR album this evening. It is a stunner IMHO.
Great triple vinyl from 2016. ????

Genesis - A Trick of the Tail
Now that’s something I really wish I had - a first pressing of this brilliant album.

A little background, I hadn't heard of this slab. So I asked my friend tonight,... who is in our "group".
He is like a living lexicon, when it comes to rock, progressive rock etc, from the 60 century onwards.
He is probably one of the most skilled in this in Sweden.... known for his knowledge of music on many Swedish forums.
???? The plate is recorded during a jam 1969 while Stones recorded "Let it Bleed". It was officially released a few years later. According to me not a so amazingly fun plate.... was his answer ????.
But it's interesting artists, so I have to listen to it.
Thanks for the tip.

Now Playing.......
Dave Matthews - Remember Two Things
Streaming on NAS....... Arriving home and jumping into the way back machine and traveling back 25 years for some Dave Matthews. Always enjoyed Dave's music and the band's live shows......
Now Playing......
Dave Matthews Band - Under The Table And Dreaming
Streaming in NAS........ Dropping back in time to another Dave Matthew album released 24 years ago after enjoying "Remember Two Things" quite a bit! Toe tapping with the Dave Matthews Band.......
The music of Bud Powell performed by David Hazeltine (piano), George Mraz (bass) and Billy Drummond (drums). Recorded in 2005. The VENUS sound is warm, dynamic and in your face.
I'd like to see this guy's residual checks - he sure had a batch of hits in the 80s that still get some decent rotation.
Although this might be one of the crappiest album covers ever.
Vinyl released 1973 - My favourite and IMHO Springsteen’s best album. A wonderful piece of work and not a bad track on it. Awesome ????

Original first day vinyl released 1967 - came out 26th May 1967 in the “Summer Of Love”. It was bought as an early 14th birthday present as my birthday is 15th June. The albums never came sealed then (probably why they where never warped) the inner sleeve still has the price on it written in pencil 32/6d.
Still sounds better than all the reissues. ????
Mono or stereo pressing, Dan?
Mono, I think the first Beatles stereo album was the White album which was released in both formats, and one format has McCartney shouting “ I’ve got blisters on my fingers” at the end of Helter Skelter. The other does not.
That’s why the stereo reissues sound awful. Best going for the mono set and buying the rest separately.
Not to play music thread police, but it is (ironically) Ringo that does the blisters on my fingers shout. Abbey Road was the first Beatles album produced in only stereo format. Yes, there are some notable differences in the mono and stereo formats of the White Album, the tempo of and fiddle variations of Ringo's "Don't Pass Me By" maybe the most striking.

I bow to your superior knowledge Sir
Breakfast sound, nice start of the day...
Vinyl released 1976 - Great debut album. ????
Music was my first love
And it will be my last.
Music of the future
And music of the past.
To live without my music
Would be impossible to do.
In this world of troubles,
My music pulls me through.
Double vinyl released 2003 - Great songs, music, SQ, album. ????
Delightful piece of Bach - Playing on Compact Disc on Naxos
The Rolling Stones - Blue & Lonesome.
Having watched some old geezers cavorting about the stage in Manchester last night, seems only fitting to play this one.
Couple of video clips and some ramblings from me over on the "Concerts" thread.
