On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.

Sean Rowe - New Lore
Sad after listening to Gregg Allman's last album, somehow this one from Mr. Rowe seems fit to follow on, what a lovely voice he has.
Steve, I was listening to this SR album this evening. It is a stunner IMHO.
I fully agree, Nigel and his other albums aren't too shabby either.

The Rolling Stones - Blue & Lonesome.
Having watched some old geezers cavorting about the stage in Manchester last night, seems only fitting to play this one.
Couple of video clips and some ramblings from me over on the "Concerts" thread.
I'll join you on this one, Dave. Even though it's early!
I did have a look at the films you posted on the concerts thread. This old geezer likes a tripod
Chris
I’ve been enjoying this hugely this morning. It’s just a brilliant album, with some exceptional soloing from all three players. Highly recommended. For some strange reason it’s only £8.63 for the high res on Qobuz, which is amazingly cheap.
Time for a bit of Miles on mono vinyl ????
At the turn of the new millennium Coldplay released their debut album Parachutes. A stunning collection of soft rock produced by Ken Nelson under Parlophone Records. During my first audition, Parachutes was the album that I used to voice my choice of loudspeaker. It sounded superb on my first system. It sounds even better now. I can always make time to appreciate this album, especially on a sunny afternoon.
Superb debut by New York City Hip - Hop crew Mobb Deep - Very dry beats and social reflective lyrics - Playing on Compact Disc on Loud Records 1995
Now Playing..........
Gordon Lightfoot - Gord's Gold
Streaming on NAS....... This Wednesday morning going back 43 years in time to this 1975 album featuring the fine folk music of Gordon Lightfoot!
In 1995, Luniz released their debut album Operation Stackola to much acclaim. They released three studio albums but this one is by far the most iconic. These two playas with their West Coast Hip Hop really show how it's done to an ounce of indo. Bopping on CD.

I know they take a lot of flak, but I still thanks that's a good album.
Great Beasty Boys album - Paul's Botique - Playing on Compact Disc on Capitol Records 1989
On a beautiful sunny afternoon, I am chillin' to the sound of bossa nova. Herb Alpert Presents - Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66. Listening on CD by A&M.
Now Playing.......
Roger Daltrey - As Long As I Have You
Streaming on TIDAL....... New release from 06/01/2108, taking it out for a spin.......
Vinyl released 1979 - Sampling some fine laid back jazz from Joe. ????
Continuing the sunny afternoon hip hop/indie vibe, but not so chilled.
Rocking out on Happy Hour at work with this Live 1979 Tour album from Judas Priest - Playing on Compact Disc

I was at their gig in the Royal Court Liverpool May 87’ when it was cancelled after around 10 mins, when a riot started.
On another thread, [@mention:13111295364991225] reminded me of the Frapp's existence. So I thought I'd give their spiffing third album a spin on vinyl:
I once owned the five LP box set of this, but sold it when my record player departed. I’ve never seen it on CD, but found the download last week, on Qobuz. It’s like being reunited with an old friend. Delightfully joyful music.
Vinyl released 1972 - Whitlock’s impressive debut album, featuring all his Derek & The Dominos chums and more. ????
Archie Shepp - The Cry of My People. A 1972 Impulse! recording, the 2004 Verve CD re-issue. CD-rip. A mélange of African American music forms in nice sound.
Thanks to HH for reminding me to order this. Caught her on Radio 2 last Sunday and liked what i heard. Vocally she reminds me of Stacey Kent. Musically a mix of Melody Gardot and Madeleine Peyroux. All in all, rather enjoyable.
Hailey Tuck - Junk
Vinyl Released 1975 - Probably my favourite Joni Mitchell album. It has everything - jazz, folk, African. Lovely album. ????

Hejira is mine, but her run of 8 or so albums from Clouds to Don Juan’s.. are all of the highest quality, lyrically poetic, beautifully sung with band after band of top hired guns.
