Released 1977 - Vinyl
A very enjoyable album, which I will have to revisit.
On the original vinyl. Still love " Road To Hanna"
Seeing Archie Shepp's Cry of My People upthread prompted me to play this:
Not his best but Hipnosis is a great track.
Ornette: Tone Dialling:
I'll always prefer his 'classic' quartets and trios but there is some interesting music on this.
Starting the the day off with this fine vinyl from 1959. A superb set of standards. ????
This is a super version of the Goldbergs.
In 1996, Robert Miles released his debut studio album Dreamland under the Arista label. I'm starting the day with a serene mix of progressive house, techno and ambient music. Listening on CD.
Last year, The Chainsmokers released their debut studio album Memories - Do Not Open under the Columbia label. This album includes the hits, Something Like This (in collaboration with Coldplay) and Paris. I used to enjoy listening to their songs on the radio, but I was pleasantly surprised when I bought the album - the SQ is absolutely astounding. This has become one of my reference CDs and my favourite track is It Won't Kill Ya: the expression of demonic possession controlled by absolute distortion.
Really nice album of Bach Guitar music - Playing on Compact Disc on Naxos
Etienne Forget
Missions - Tidal HiFi
Thanks Nick, i will not be surprised it i buy this album tomorrow from Qobuz (24/44.1).
Half way through the album and enjoying it greatly.
Edward
Double vinyl released 2015 - Superb recording featuring a Stella cast of guest vocalists, and there's a great cover of the Dan's "Do It Again"
Good mid period Rory Gallagher album from 1978 - Brilliant guitar from The Stratmaster ( when is it not ) - Playing on Cassette TDK SA C60
Caravan - In the Land if Grey and Pink, playing on my iPhone.
Vinyl released 2017 - Combining bop with soul and it works. Great sax from Pine and fine vocals from Omar. ????
Enjoying this Classic bit of Disco From Sister Sledge - It still sounds fresh and brilliant Nile Rogers and Bernie Edwards production - Playing on Compact Disc on Cotillion Records 1979

Terry Evans - Come To The River
Terry Evans (Vocals, guitar), Jorge Calderon (bass), Phil Bloch (drums), John "Juke" Logan (harmonica), Keith Williams (vocals), Ray Williams (vocals), Willlie Green Jr. (vocals), Ry Cooder (guitar), and Hense Powell (keyboards).
Streaming on TIDAL...... Having some fun this morning with Terry, if Terry can't get your feet moving then no-one will, blues, R&B, & black gospel filling the air this morning. I don't think you will regret spending a little time with Terry and his music.
Released 2013 - An eclectic mix of chill, lounge, world music and smooth jazz that could be best described as mood music with a vengeance. Not only that, given the album includes contributions from some of his best musician friends including Greg Adams, Jeff Carruthers, Paul Brown, Rick Keller and Tom Schuman, ‘Boom Boom Boom’ is, in every respect, a true musical master class. Great stuff indeed ????
