The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour
Is it the LP or the original 2 EP Set. ????
I was playing the 1987 Cd which I had read was a flat transfer and not as bass heavy as the 2009 remaster. On vinyl I now only have the US import left as I have "lost" the EP over the years ,a casualty of a party no doubt .
The wonderful Delta 5. Who likes sex only on Sundays? You, you, you.
(2012)
Norah Jones - Little Broken Hearts
Another lovely album from her with a change of direction in that she wrote a lot of the songs and was more involved in the album's production, all for the best.

I thought that you’d like them. I wonder how many others do? I was delighted to find this album on Spotify.
Just finished Wings - Wildlife ,the annual playing of this album to try and understand what McCartney was thinking when he released this.Hard to understand as this was only two years on from Abbey Rd

Yes thanks for the heads up, I didn't know they were there. They're up next.
I also notice that another great (but only modestly successful) bass-heavy band of that era, the Aberdeenshire group APB, are also on Spotify. It's gonna be a good night...
It’s strange, being 57 and living in a nice house - the music takes me back to when I was 22 and living in a manky student flat. The power of music, eh?
Supertramp - Compact Hits, part of a series of releases on the A&M label in the early days of cd ,featuring the 4 tracks on the cover. Not bad for the price of a single as I seem to remember
Does anybody else have any of these discs?
Jeff Beck - Jeff Beck’s Guitar Shop - WAV CD rip
Guitar, keyboards and drums, a wide range of genres, mainly instrumentals, a couple of songs having Zappaesque vocals (from Terry Bozzio, drums on this album and for FZ). Superb guitar work from Beck, some love,y tender numbers, some good fret-thrashing, he really can are a guitarbsing, and the other 2 are superb as well, good guitar god stuff.
Oh yes, just had the daughter and her boyfriend listening to the Gorillaz......the boyfriend is off to Dublin for the concert this weekend. Need to start some live music myself......yes Nigel it takes me back to being at the Angel in Islington listening to a pub band called Dire Straits, or Canvey island or the Kursall in Southend listening to Dr Feelgood. Still seem only a moment ago, in some respects.
Many people spend money in many ways, cars, yachts etc that hopefully please them, I listen so many hours a day, it’s just great value for me at least.
Vinyl released 2015 - Love this album ????
Inspired by Nigel (HH) about an hour ago. Delta 5, Singles & Sessions Plus, on Spotify.

When my late wife was teasing me one day about the amount of money the stack of olive boxes, the turntable, the records and CDs had cost, I did a quick calculation. Crudely at that point about 5 years ago the amount I’d spent on hifi and recorded music had worked out at about £1/hour of music listening. Adding streaming and a second system plus a few hundred CDs has probably taken that to nearer £1.50/hour, but I’d still claim that’s the best value I can imagine, what other hobby gives you so much pleasure at that price?
The Derek Trucks Band - Soul Serenade
Rory Gallagher - Deuce, WAV CD rip
From one guitar hero,to another, a storming album, blues-rock, finger-picking country blues, not a bad song on the album, and Rory could make his Strat do anything, a stunning guitarist, but not flashy for the sake of it ,so so musical. A master of the blues.
1994 - CD(rip)...
Michael Giacchino
War for the Planet of the Apes - Tidal HiFi
Edward
Available again from cherry red after the first runs sold out.
Really an excellent compilation and piece of history combined. (Although 80-84 would be a more accurate representation of the years).

Vinyl released 1976 - Brilliant debut album.
Some funk tonight.
