On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

(2005)
Morcheeba - The Antidote
A couple of changes to the line up with vocalist Skye Edwards being replaced by Daisey Martey and the incoming Rob Mullinder get Morcheeba back on track with some great songs and a little hint of psychedelia here and there.
Now Playing.........

Julie Miller - Blue Pony
Streaming on TIDAL...... With a mention from EWEMON earlier I placed this in the TIDAL queue and now taking out for a spin. With contributions on vocals by Steve Earle and Emmylou Harris it peaked my interest. First track is sounding mighty fine..........
Qobuz 24/88.2 streaming;

Another vinyl LP from the King of Afrobeat. I ciould listen to Fela all day...

4 Track Songs by Peter Broderick
Double vinyl released 2009 - An album that’s well worth checking out.????
Bruce Hornsby - Red Hook Summer
Solo piano music by Bruce Hornsby.

An official live album limited release.
From this rather pointless box of last year, a pointless "live" remake of the most pointless Kraftwerk album, The Mix. Mrs K wanted to hear it, so who am I to refuse?

McCoy Tyner - New York reunion
Great post bop jazz from McCoy Tyner, Joe Henderson, Ron Carter and Al foster.

Deep Purple
Made In Japan (Original 1972 Mix) - 24/96

Edward
Caught the end of Loose Ends on the radio. I was pleased about this because Clive had Nick Lowe play the programme out with Lately I've Let Things Slide
Double vinyl released 2016 - Fine album from California’s coolest. ????
Saturday Review followed a Profile of George Soros. Seemed like the perfect moment to put on Jamie Cullum's Interlude and get a little bit loose.

(1972 | 2012)
Fleetwood Mac - Bare Trees
Danny Kirwan wrote half of this album with Christine McVie composing three numbers, it's not a Mac album that is instantly recognisable in style it's more of a half way house between the Green years and their later more commercial stuff.

From the excellent Cheap Xmas vinyl box set of last year, this 1982 classic:

Robert Plant - Now and Zen, WAV CD rip
Slick ‘80s pop fused with guitar blues and rock , intelligent lyrics, and Percy in extremely fine voice, good listening on a lovely Saturday evening.

CD. Johann Sebastian Bach - Concerto For Two Violins In D Minor, Violin Concertos In A Minor & E Major - Anne-Sophie Mutter, Salvatore Accardo - English Chamber Orchestra
alt-J - This Is All Yours
Why? Um, waiting for dinner to cook. But there's a cold San Mig, so rest easy.
In 2001, System of a Down released their second studio album Toxicity under the Columbia label. This high energy recording hits hard like nine inch nails. Listening very loud on CD.

Vinyl released 2010 - A fine album. ????
UFO
Strangers in the Night - Tidal HiFi

Brilliant live album
Edward

1967 - Vinyl - UK first(mono) pressing...

CD. Johannes Bramhs - Sonatas For Violin & Piano 1-3 - Anne-Sophie Mutter, Alexis Weissenberg

Arturo Toscanini, BBC Symphony Orchestra - Beethoven Symphonies No. 4 & No. 7 , WAV CD Rip
From the 10 CD Maestro Furioso Toscanini box set. Bravura performances with the BBC SO from 1935, the orchestra is superb, the SQ is pretty good, and Toscanini drags the emotion out of the works, and really brings out the rhythmic power and dance of the music.
