On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Florestan trio - Debussy - Faure - Ravel piano trios
Only French piano trios on this great recording by the Florestan trio.
Brit Buffalo gal version of Amy Winehouse. Very talented and very nice album from 2004.
(1977)
Santana - Moonflower
A very nice double album from the boys playing favourites live at Hammersmith Odeon and other tracks recorded in the studio.

Mike and others - I may have posted this before, but in case I didn't or if you might have missed it, I think this is 45 minutes of pure heaven (assuming you can feed it through your system - hell, it is still worth it through computer speakers). Alison is just perfection and Vince is stellar. Great piece for those who love or don't know of Alison and if you aren't already, you might easily become a Vince Gill fan. Enjoy. Jeff A
Spot on, Jeff. Thanks!
Esbjörn Svensson Trio Plays Monk
So vital.
Vinyl released 1988 - really loved the American garage bands of the 80’s Rain Parade, Green On Red, Violent Femmes etc. This is one of my fave albums from that era. ????
Robert Plant - Mighty Rearranger.
First of the day, chez Dave ..................... been musicless until now, as my new "all singing, all dancing" router wasn't on speaking
terms with my server .
A quick email exchange with the redoubtable Phil Harris quickly identified the problem, and, for now, the old router, salvaged from
the Ark, is back in place, and normal service has been resumed.
Phil Harris ............... top man!

Great choice Stevee. I'll join with this:
^Thanks Minh^, I'm continuing on with the second disc, it's hard if not impossible to break off from the rhythm and the beat.

I completely agree. Enjoy!
Vinyl released 1979 - Brilliant harmonies, witty arrangements, great songs, fine album. Produced by Bob Fripp ????
Anita Baker - Rapture.
Effortless style from Anita Baker .............. it was a soul classic on it's release in '86, and still sounds as good today.
An album I've enjoyed for many-a-year. Sheryl sure can rock.

Spot on, Jeff. Thanks!
Having sampled that video and liked it I've been trying to find a CD of the performance. Alas I've drawn a blank so far.

Mike, Which copy of the album do you have? I've been on Amazon and noticed that there is a deluxe edition with six extra tracks. Which one should I buy? ATB Minh

Sorry, Minh. I was referring to the live performance with Vince Gill mentioned by Jeff A. For Windy City, definitely go for the 17-track deluxe version. That's the one I have. Those six extra tracks are well worth having. Indeed Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground is so lovely it justifies the extra on its own.

Just given this a blast, and rock she can!
Onto another bluesy, rockin' lady with this one.
Joan Osborne - Relish.
Bit of a cult following, here on the forum, and deserves much more airplay ............ cracking album, IMHO.

Right on both counts, Dave.
Some more rock but going back a bit further than Sheryl Crow. Tony McPhee sure could play guitar.
In 1998, Blondie released their greatest hits album Atomic on EMI/Chrysalis. Playing on CD.
Daryl Hall John Oates - Greatest Hits , Rock'n'Soul Part 1.
