On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
from last evening and posted in the another thread.......
Eberhard Weber - Fluid Rustle
Eberhard Weber (bass, tarang), Bonnie Herman (voice), Norma Winstone (voice), Gary Burton (vibraharp, marimba), and Bill Frisell (guitar, balalaika).
Streaming on NAS....... It a beautiful Friday evening and Eberhard is providing the entertainment, simply wonderful! The interplay on this album is fantastic between the instruments and voices, a fantastic album......
Now Playing........
Eberhard Weber - Later That Evening........
Streaming on NAS....... Waking up and continuing on with Eberhard's music, every album of his I find to be so enjoyable, simply beautiful!
(1999)
This fine album landed on the mat this morning, belatedly returning to the collection. David Sylvian's voice captures and enthrals from the first note, lovely stuff.
Today’s pool side music on the Amazon Player.
U2 POP
Unfortunately not an album that was given the cd super deluxe treatment with remastering and additional goodies like previous anniversary reissues. A shame as this plays much better today as it did (apart from disco).
Now Playing.......
Eberhard Weber - Little Movements
Eberhard Weber (bass), Charlie Mariano (soprano saxophone, flute), Rainer Brüninghaus (piano, synthesizer), and John Marshall (drums, percussion)
Streaming on NAS........ Continuing on with Eberhard while getting ready to face the day....
Listening to this great album on the Amazon player, in the hotel room. While waiting for the wife to get ready. ????
(2017)
Alison Krauss - Windy City
Alison moving a side-step away from bluegrass with this one where she is in country mood and sounding wonderful as ever.
Huh!

Good debut album by Creedence Clearwater Revival from 1968 Including a good cover of "Suzi Q " - Playing on Vinyl
Back in the U.K. today after a couple of weeks on the East Coast of the USA which included seeing McCoy Tyner at the Blue Note. I’ve rejigged the Fraims this afternoon and having just powered it all on again, I’m now exploring some of the Coltrane albums on which Tyner played such a major part, this being one such. If you’ve not heard it, this is a superb album and would make a good starting point for JC exploration.
And now this beauty:
Bob Brookmeyer & Clark Terry - Complete studio recordings
Great jazz.
Another run, not like the picture suggest from Tidal - but from my own version...
Still in a jazz mood, but switching to the mellow tones of Pat Metheny.
(2013)
The Hoax - Big City Blues
Fabulous very heavy British blues rock, this is the way it should be done IMHO. Great stuff.
Great Mini Album of 5 Tracks from American West Coast Country tinged Rockers The Long Ryders - Playing on Vinyl on PVC Records 1983
The Beatles - Abbey Road, late ‘70s UK vinyl
My favourite Fabs album, perfection of pop-rock/rock. From the moment Ringo’s drums bring Come Together to a stunning start through to the phenomenal second side, perfectly crafted song follows perfectly crafted song. Deceptively simple, but just brilliant, the understated excellence of their playing and singing hooks me every time.
(Watching the cricket this afternoon the Aussie batsman Glenn Maxwell’s name got Maxwell’s Silver Hammer stuck as an earworm,.)

My favourite Beatles album, too.

Eberhard Weber - Colours - Silent Feet
Eberhard Weber (bass), Rainer Brüninghaus (piano, synthesizer), Charlie Mariano (soprano saxophone, flutes), and John Marshall (drums).
Streaming on NAS.......... Continuing on with Eberhard, a wonderful composer and musician, and consistently some of the best album covers as just one more small bonus!
David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars - recentish 180gm vinyl
It was 46 years ago today, Ziggy Stardust taught... From one rock masterpiece to another, my fave Bowie album. Some chilling songs, every number having catchy beats and hooks, and Bowie’s voice and Ronson’s guitar sharing centre stage for me, both setting the mood brilliantly.
Grover Washington Jr.- Winelight - 192/24
Nice to have a bit of sax now and again.
Grover is sounding mighty fine in glorious hi-res.
Rather gorgeous ambient pop.
Cigarettes After Sex
