On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Also from yesterday. Not really jazz music, but still beautiful...
This was for me going to much into hip hop type of music, don’t like it so much besides the occasional trumpet work of Christian Scott...
Simple Minds
Street Fighting Years - CD Rip
Edward
LP four of this four-disc set. Better than doing any work, isn't it? Reissue vinyl from last month.
The excellent new album from the wonderful Johnny Marr. Probably his best yet.
Nice enough piano Brittan Piano Concerto to get the working week going - Playing on Compact Disc on Naxos
Yesterday a few forumites were playing discs from this box set - so i though I would follow their example. For me (and many others, it seems), these are the best sounding LZ CDs out there. In fact, they are some of the best-sounding CDs I have ever heard, period.
Starting off with the old Brown Bomber...
2012 - Tidal...
Soko - I Thought I Was An Alien
2001 - Tidal...
The Hungarian composer Zoltán Kodály wrote his Sonata in B minor for solo cello, Op. 8, in 1915. It was first performed in 1918 and published in 1921.
It is among the most significant works for solo cello written since Johann Sebastian Bach's Cello Suites. It contains influences of Debussy and Bartók, as well as the inflections and nuances of Hungarian folk music.
Fabulous Reggae album by English band Steel Pulse from Birmingham,Handsworth was the area they lived in - Playing on Cassette on TDK AD-X C60
2014 - Tidal...

Another from that glorious SHMCD set. The second disc, in particular (the old vinyl sides three and four) always sounds amazing:

Gene Clark - "White Light" (1971) everyone should have a favorite Byrd, mine is Gene Clark
God Help The Girl - "God Help The Girl" (2009) Always grateful to Maurice (mOomoO) for this recommendation. Stuart Murdoch (Belle & Sebastian)) and Catherine Ireton making great indie pop music.
Esbjörn Svensson Trio - Winter in Venice
