What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
There's discussion on one of the firmware 4.4 vs. 4.6 threads that Miles has changed position in the mix of 'So What' compared with a CD version of the same version. Well, I no longer have a CD player in the same system with which to compare, but it's a great excuse to play this great album!

I must have played this hundreds of times over the years, but not recently. Listening to it now, it still sounds fresh and a fine recording it is too.
Slim68 posted:Marillion, Misplaced Childhood.
This is the first Marillion that I had heard and it took me a while to like it. Like turned to Love and I went to see them play the whole album live at the Garden Party Tour, MK Bowl in 1986, supported by none other than Mama's Boys, Magnum, Gary Moore and Jethro Tull and what a day it was
I was there too. Very hot day if I remember correctly.

In 1986, Kate Bush released her first compilation album The Whole Story on EMI. This is sounding sweet on 4.6 and is an absolute delight. The atmosphere is at times haunting but captivatingly addictive. The Man with the Child in His Eyes is simply sublime. Listening on CD.
This is a very fine album, which really boogies.
On vinyl...
Bebel Gilberto - Tanto Tempo, very relaxing.
Lets hope I've got the correct thread this time
