See what you did there ...........
The beautiful piano of Bill Evans on 'On Green Dolphin Street'
Around this time, 26 years ago I would have been listening to this whilst studying for the finals to obtain my degree, funny how music takes you back
(1969)
Albert King & Otis Rush - Door To Door
This fine album ripped from a very nice sounding 1990 Chess MCA CD.
Sonny Clark - Leapin' and Lopin'
Good bebop jazz by Sonny Clark. Recorded in 1961. Sonny Clark composed four of the seven tracks.

This is an astonishing album. It comes from somewhere very other-worldly.
(2017)
Rag 'n' Bone Man - Human
I've neglected playing this for far too long, shame on me it's a wonderful blues album with a new artist with a great voice.
Brian Charette - Groovin’ with big G
Steeplechase is on of my favourite record labels. Their output always appeals to me. This is another good example. Recorded in 2017
BRIAN CHARETTE Hammond B3 organ; GEORGE COLEMAN tenor saxophone; VIC JURIS guitar; GEORGE COLEMAN JR. drums
Late afternoon kicked off with Thomas Dolby's Aliens Ate My Buick. A US pressing that I found a few years back sealed and unplayed (albeit a cutout). I hadn't originally bought the vinyl, as by the time this originally came out I was starting to buy CDs wherever possible (ah, the wisdom of hindsight...). Luckily it sounds fab.
To follow, this from the Teddy Edwards Quartet - a Boplicity reissue from the '80s (great sound!).
And then this; Mexican Green From The Tubby Hayes Quartet - an original Fontana pressing.
And finally, Ballet Music from the Opera, with the PCO and Anatole Fistoulari. This is an original "shaded dog" RCA 2S/2S pressing. One of around 20 or so, in amazing condition that I bought some years ago at a church fete in Dorset!
In 1991, Seal released his self-titled debut album under Warner Music. An all time classic that deserves another listen.
Jason Palmer - At Wally's
JASON PALMER trumpet
NOAH PREMINGER tenor saxophone
MAX LIGHT guitar
CHRIS MCCARTHY Fender Rhodes (track 2 only)
SIMON WILLSON bass
LEE FISH drums
Gaz Coombes - World's Strongest Man.
That's the footy out of the way for today, so, playing this one from earlier again.
I reckoned it was a grower, and so it's proving to be .................. mucho earworms ................. it's on Tidal, and well worth a listen, IMHO.

Gaz Coombes !!! world's strongest man !!!! Fer F#'s Sake !!! little squirt used to deliver my papers & take a short cuts over-thru my hedge, breath of wind would blow him over. Him, & my son, & others, tested the foundations & rattled the window putty loose in my house pushing 25w amps into overload. He still comes 'home' to visit his mum, last time I saw him for a chat was in the village Co-op store.
Peter Gabriel - So.
A box set showing the extreme variety in the development of Miles' playing over two decades. He must have had tremendous vision to come up with so many ideas.
New vinyl arrived today! A great Canadian band. Their lead singer passed away last year. The Tragically Hip - Fully Completely (1992)
Wes Montgomery - Jazz Masters 14, an excellent comp of his work on Verve.
Bowie, Ziggy, On Vinyl. Hearing one of the greatest albums properly for the first time in 25+ years..
Right now, I’m prepared to swear that Mick Ronson was better than Hendrix...
P.s. Anyone hazard a guess why my images uploaded to Imgur won’t copy and paste here anymore ?

Loved that Thomas Dolby album on release, it was a regular player on my Linn Axis at the time.
I think it's dated a bit, but was still enjoy it due to the zany/off the wall nature of many of the tracks.
Stephan Schmidt - Domenico Scarlatti: sonates pour guitare
Very nice music. Stephan Schmidt plays some of Scarlatti's keyboard sonates on guitar.
