1974 - Vinyl - UK first pressing...

I do not often listen to it but the weather is  just superb and this album deserves to be savoured in its entirety along with a chilled glass of Chablis. Life is good.!

I am like you Tony with the Lamb lies down.

Although I do think it gets pretty weired on side 3.Some great tracks on it though Fly on a Windshield - Back in NYC - In the cage + The Lamb lies down are classic Genesis. The story on the gatefold sleeve still baffles me

Enjoy the sun......I am sadly working but will be a freeman in a few hours time

73 years old and, because of this forum, I have been listening to Led Zeppelin! Is there any hope left for me?

Fancied a bit of country on this fine sunny afternoon and this album just hits the right spot.

Katie Melua and the Gori choir. This is the special edition which has the studio album and a live recording in Berlin of the album and additional tracks. A lovely voice, touching lyrics, sung in Georgian (Russian) and mostly English.

Gazza, this is indeed a wonderful album. Heard it for the first time on a KLM plane at 30,000 ft....  Lovely voice, gorgious choir, great songs. Especially the songs in Russian and Georgian language are excellent. My favourite is #9, Nunc dimittis from Всенощное бдение / All-night vigil by Сергей Рахманинов: the choir, her soft guitar & singing, it's so beautiful!

John Martyn - The Church With One Bell

Prompted by Graeme playing this yesterday I'm giving this very fine album a spin. It's sounding wonderful streamed via Qobuz on Audirvana Plus 3 which in turn is accompanying a G&T that's going down even better than usual thanks to this fine album.

No hope, David. Resistance is futile here.

All the albums are on the Amazon player via my iPhone, with sennheiser earphones. As you know when you buy albums from Amazon they also download free to the Amazon player so is well stocked with great albums. It’s on the iPad as well.

Good call, Eoin. If there are any left for David to buy these are the best recordings to invest in. ( IMHO and not being a total Zep' fan- boy who knows every single nuance)

Dexter Gordon - Cheese Cake.

This is a nice recording by Dexter Gordon and his quartet (with pianist Tete Montoliu, bassist Niels Pedersen and drummer Alex Riel). It's of a concert he gave in 1964 in Copenhagen. The recording contains only three long songs with a lot of room for long solos by Dexter and the band.

Jimmy Page is 74 years old, and I think Robert Plant is 69. I hope you enjoy Led Zeppelin for many many years to come.
