This is the second album from Wave, abstract Progski sums it up for me. I like this, it is so different to the first album Me And Reality it shows they have some interesting ideas.

I've listened to this on Spotify and love it!!  Waiting for my vinyl copy today.  I think it should be great because it is an analog recording!

Hi Alley

I've only had it for eight hours, so still fiddling around with it, but I intend to use it to play CDs, SACDs (stereo DSD direct to analogue), hi-res digital files. Oh, and I'll watch movies etc on Blu-ray, DVD and other formats.

I haven't got a multi-chan system, or a 4K UHD telly, yet but I suspect we'll get round to it one of these days and the Oppo seems futureproof (it can handle hi res up to 768kHz PCM and DSD512, though I've never seen files in that high resolution).

But even though I've only had it a few hours, and it hasn't had time to burn in properly yet, the upgrade in SQ on CDs and SACDs is immediately obvious.

The menus are great and the build quality is phenomenal. It's a great machine and I've a feeling it'll be worth every penny.

I'm a big fan of Charles.

Antimatter - Alternative Antimatter (2010). Pretty cool chilled dark rock. How's that for a description.

???? Haim Ronen,...Glorious memories,when I was 15 years old,my parents played this album a lot.
They are unfortunately dead now,but this disc I have left. They had a Lenco L75 turntable at the time, I actually have it left in a cardboard ????.

Have just listened to this,...◾Stevie Ray Vaughan & Johnny Copeland "Tin Pan Alley".
Supreme Guitar play,even the band members stand up and Applaud Stevie and Johnny after the song.
The song is 13 minutes long, worth listening, watching.

Congratulations Kev, it sounds like a great bit of new kit you've got there.

Richard Shindell, Vuelta.

Not a name we see on here very often but he combines a great voice with some terrific songs. A bit like Greg Brown, if you are looking for a reference point.

Haven't played one of his albums for ages. Prefer his earlier stuff to his later.

Charles Lloyd (saxophone, flute), Bill Frisell (guitar), Greg Leitz (steel guitar), Reuben Rogers (bass), Eric Harland (drums) + Lucinda Williams (vocals).

Streaming on NAS...... The pre-order arrived today, ripped to NAS and taking out for a spin. The first two tracks sound fantastic and believe this is going to be one special album! A great line up of musicians and of course Lucinda is sounding mighty sweet........

Mary Chapin Carpenter an official live recording of one of her gigs from 2016. Unreleased.

Yep Steve Levine has done a good job with the remixes apart from the added echo during If Loving you.

Another SACD. Again, sounding stunning (these Savall/Alia Vox discs always sound good, but never heard this old favourite sounding like this)

Very Chilled out Funk album by War from 1971 - Playing on Vinyl on United Artists

Cotton Jones is the (new) project from Michael Nau and Whitney McGraw of Page France and their debut album Paranoid Cocoon sounds almost nothing like their former band. The sound of Cotton Jones abandons any pop sentiment and takes a pensive approach that is apropos for the gloomy happenings out in the real world.

Paranoid Cocoon sounds like a folk album The Doors may have made. It’s pouring down rain in the Bay area and their low-fi sound in the perfect accompaniment.

Sounds superb considering it was originally recorded on 1/4” analogue mono  tapes.
