What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Steve Tilston
Ziggurat - 16/44.1
Saw the post above from EOINK.
Never heard of this artist before, pick this album at random, after listing to it on Tidal HiFi had to have this album so went onto Qobuz and bout the album. Stand out track on first listen-track one "The Road When I Was Young", Brilliant.
Edward
Vinyl released 1983 - Vic turns Chopin melodies into jazz with aplomb. ????
Bass – John Patitucci
Drums – Trevor Feldman
Piano – Victor Feldman
Fairport Convention - Fairport UnConventional CD 3 - WAV CD rip
Creators of English folk-rock from a great 2001 box-set, recordings ranging from outtakes and radio recordings of the 1967/1969 bands through live recordings, often from Cropredy, of the later lineups. Some lovely Sandy vocals on a few tracks, and some great musicianship.
(Having realised Tom Paine wasn’t on the Tilston album, I played this to hear it. Given I had to hand-tag the tracks as the pre-release album isn’t in the online databases yet, I should probably have noticed.)

Glad you liked it Edward.
Still with Bowie. Low (1977) was never a favourite years ago for me. Just gave it a listen, side two is instrumental and not too bad. On vinyl.
The Avalanches - Wildflower
I have borrowed the CD from my bestie. It's very strange stuff.
I think he told me it is all sampled.
Released 2015 - Excellent album. ????
Following on from Little Feat which I enjoyed so much that I gave it a second spin is Mark Knopfler - Kill to get Crimson.
Don Henley - The End of the Innocence, Original vinyl
Saw Stevee playing this earlier, what better album to finish a lovely warm evening’s listening? A couple of ‘80s pop style numbers nestled among some of Henley’s best songs, fine band and Henley's on great voice. For my taste, the title track is a great a song as any he’s ever written.
1977 - vinyl - UK first pressing...
Now Playing........
Lee Konitz - Alone Together
Lee Konitz (saxophone), Brad Mehldau (piano), and Charlie Haden (bass).
Streaming on NAS........ Returning from a walk I thought I would continue on with one of the CD's I picked up yesterday and take it out for a spin, the trio of Lee, Brad and Charlie are sounding might fine this afternoon!
Talking Back To The Night (1982). Another one not played in a long time. Good sound and production. On vinyl. One thing I have noticed is that I don't get listening fatigue from vinyl as easily as I do when I stream or play ripped CD''s. Am I imagining this? It is very hot here after all....
Double vinyl released 1997 - Wilco’s finest album. ????
Falla - El Corregidor Y La Molinera (Streaming). Very Nice Album.
Eagles, Live at The Beacon Theater 1974 - WAV CD rip
Failed to go to bed, decided to listen to some more Don, younger and with The Eagles. Fine 1974 concert recording, with Linda Ronstadt and Jackson Browne guesting. Great country rock band doing what they do best.

I believe that you are not imagining it at all DKNK. Having just added a record player for the first time in decades, this is exactly the aspect of Vinyl that I’m finding most fascinating. I can play an LP so much louder than a CD rip of the same album without it offending my eardrums. I don’t have this favourite Winwood album on CD, but I have the Vinyl and I’m looking forward to having a first listen in decades now that you’ve reminded me . Valerie is a real track of my years in Ken Bruce parlance..
Here’s a great example of that Vinyl vs Digital volume thing:
I've just finished listening to side 1 of PG4. Dynamics on this analog recording are extreme. On CD it’s simply never worked for me. On Vinyl the drums hit you in the rib cage, not in the eardrums. Utterly thrilling...
Middle man (1980). Wow does this ever sound good on vinyl. My ears like. Turn it up.

Space Oddity (1969). Vinyl, I'm pleased with the recording quality. It's been a very long time since this was put on the platter.
Odd(ity) that I should reply twice in a row to your posts DK, but I happen to have had this on my LP12 platter earlier today. My copy sounds a bit knackered, but I’ll give it a scrub on the cleaning machine and see if that revives it any. It did take a lot of abuse and heavy playing from me and my brothers in the mid 70’s... may just be done in, but hopefully not..
The first record I can remember hearing.
The first record I bought with my own money I had a small singles/album collection before this but they were all freebies from my brother.
Jimmy Smith & Wes Montgomery - Jimmy & Wes,The Dynamic Duo, as this was released in 1966 I think Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson might have taken umbridge with the title
Now Playing............
Mark Murphy - Love Is What Stays
Mark Murphy (vocal, piano), Frank Chastenier (piano), Christian Von Kaphengst: (bass 1-7, 9-11, 13), Sebastian Merk (drums 1-7, 9-11, 13), Peter Weniger (tenor saxophone 1, 6, 10), Kal Bruckner (guitar 1, 4); Gregoire Peters (flute, bass clarinet 1-2, 10, 13), Till Bronner (trumpet, flugelhorn 1-2, 4-7, 9-10, 13), Johan Leijonhufvud (alto saxophone 2), Lee Konitz alto saxophone 3)
Streaming on NAS........... Picked this up yesterday at Fat Cat Records, ripped to NAS and now taking out for a spin. Opening track is sounding sweet with a lovely foot tapping beat, looking forward to the rest of the album!

I have a very good Charlie Drake lp that features this song along with others such as "My Boomerang Won't Come Back" , "I'm Too Heavy For the Light Brigade" "Naughty" and my favourite "Charles Drake 007" which is more of a monologue. Daft innocent fun
Mostly produced by George Martin of course.
Now Playing........
Art Blakley And The Jazz Messengers - Like Someone In Love
Art Blakey (drums), Lee Morgan (trumpet), Wayne Shorter (tenor saxophone), Bobby Timmons (piano), and Jymie Merritt (bass).
Streaming on NAS........ On a walkabout today stopped by Fat Cat Records and picked this and a few other CD's up. Art and the Jazz Messengers are sounding fantastic!
The disc that got me into NAIM. I had already made up my mind in 1999 to buy a YBA integrated amp and their CD player but then I walked into the NAIM dealer all it took to change my mind was listening to their slim olives and a pair of PROAC Tablette 50 Signatures play this album. After that there was no looking back.
