On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Now Playing.........
Art Blakey And The Jazz Messengers - Buhaina's Delight
Art Blakey (drums), Freddie Hubbard (trumpet), Wayne Shorter (tenor saxophone), Curtis Fuller (trombone), Cedar Walton (piano), and Jymie Merritt (bass).
Streaming on NAS........ On an afternoon walk a quick stop in as I passed by Fat Cat Records and picked up a few CD's. Loved the "Like Someone In Love" album that I just finished. Art and the Messengers are fantastic!
This was a 50 cent acquisition at Goodwill...my new discount source.

All these albums which I played today remind me of my brother who gave me my love for music an introduced me to all genres of music literally from the moment I was born.
For that I will always be thankful.
Without doubt the greatest male vocalist of all time any other great vocalist you care to mention especially the white rock singers are just trying to sound like Otis.
Relaxed, hot weather music.
Got this double vinyl recommended to me last week. I was a sceptical as it is only £8.99 on the river and a radio broadcast. But I took a punt and it’s surprisingly good. ????
Makes the breakfast go down nice and easy. Great album ????
Remarkably fine sounding compilation (2 x CD, 1 blu-ray audio) containing many previously unkown (to me at any rate) gems.

I like The Doors, so I was hopeful. Unfortunately, the Tidal hi-fi stream is terrible, flat with no low end. Looks like the cd / bluray is the way to go with this release. I have a vinyl of The Doors greatest from years ago that sounds very good.
Playing Cassette on Maxell UD XL 11 C60 - Mellow Psychedelic Rock from Spirit from 1981
Now Playing..........
Art Blakey - At the Cafe Bohemia, Volume One
Art Blakey (drums), Kenny Dorham (trumpet), Hank Mobley (tenor saxophone), Horace Silver (piano), and Doug Watkins (bass).
Streaming on NAS........ Starting the day where I left off yesterday with another album from Art Blakey. Wonderful music!
Leonardo Trincabelli. Release.
A unique album by a Uruguayan Hang player.
Naim labels own Neil Cowley on 2006 Jazz Electronica duties
Brilliant Album by The Libertines from 2004 - So many classic songs - Playing on Compact Disc on Rough Trade

Great pick and a unique sound on this album courtesy of the electric sitar which Rory borrowed from Pete Townsend.
Playing on Vinyl on Tower Records 1967 - Garage Psychedelia from The Chocalate Watch Band
Keith Jarrett - Dark interval
Recorded live in Tokyo. But unlike albums like 'the Koln concerts' the songs on this recording are much shorter. Very enjoyable.
Various Artists - The Blues Makers.
For pennies on The River, ripped and streaming, this double album consists of African musicians on the first disc, whilst the second
one concentrates on their American counterparts............... a most enjoyable journey through the undeniable connection between the
two genres.
The Beatles
Help - CD Rip
