What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
The Fireman - Electric Arguments, chosen at random to follow tonight's excellent football.
Continuing ......What might have been different if Chuck Berry hadn’t picked up his guitar?

I'd mentioned the title track from this album in the 'Erotic Music' thread, so thought I'd give it a spin. It's a really great album, but the chorus from the title track conjures such sensual images:
"Lay your head back on the ground, let your hair fall all around me, offer up your best defence, this is the end of the innocence".

Marty McFly wouldn't have been born!
1979 - Vinyl - UK first pressing...
Trying out John Coltrane - Giant Steps. Different from what I'm used to, (not a jazz man). I hear some interesting tunes so far.
Eric Bibb - Me to You,

Eric Bibb - Me to You,
Had the pleasure to see him live at Exeter Phoenix recently. Superb. An artist who seems to thrive on the live environment, his performance was way beyond his studio albums in my estimation. If you get a chance to see him live, don’t hesitate.
Elton John, Blue Moves. Vinyl, side 1. First listen in many decades. ‘Tonight’ has always been one of my favourite tracks of his. Maybe a bit ‘ this is my attempt to be Ravel/Greig/Classical’, but a fabulous tune all the same. ‘chameleon’ also a classic Elton track. Lovely.

Kevin, definiteiy an album that stands up well when viewed against his entire output.I'll keep an eye out for Eric Bibb also.
The most perfect chill out album ever...

Art Blakey And The Jazz Messengers - 1958 Paris Olympia
Art Blakey (drums), Lee Morgan (trumpet), Benny Golson (tenor saxophone), Bobby Timmons (piano), and Jymie Merritt (bass).

A creative, diverse, and texturally rich album. If there's such thing as a hidden gem in Macca's extensive discography, this is it.
Ivo Janssen - Bach: partitas
Starting this morning with Bach's partitas played on a Yamaha CF III piano.
From yesterday nice trio..
