On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Ended with this on a more acceptable volume..., strange but nice combination...
Doin' more jazz, sounds pretty good, me the jazz newbie. Prepping dinner music.
Another vinyl favourite, have the original, but got a re-release and it's good:
From Duke and Coltrane, it's on to Antimatter - Planetary Confinement, good stuff.
Coming down a bit after a thrilling game...
William Orbit, Pieces in a modern style. Probably not one for the purists but I always liked this album particularly his version of Barbers Adagio for strings, it’s somewhere between ambient and classical but it works as a great chill out album. Streaming on Tidal.
Just Finished.........
John Hiatt - Terms of My Surrender
Streamed on NAS........ Love this album, not a bad song on it!

Big fan of John, and I have many albums. Haven't played much by him in a while. Saw him twice in concert.
Now Playing.......
Coldplay - Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends
Streaming on TIDAL...... A mention from BERT SCHURINK had me place this Coldplay in the TIDAL queue for a listen and now taking out for a spin.
John Hiatt - Hiatt Comes Alive At Budokan? One of his best, this is a good place to start if you don't know John. Thanks Seakayaker for reminding me about him.
Playing on Vinyl on Virgin Records 1975 - Live set from Tangerine Dream
Also nice and smooth...

You never listened to this? Hallelujah, brother! Save your soul! Don’t listen to it. It could seriously damage your health!
Sandy Denny and Led Zeppelin..
Battle of Evermore...
Now Playing..........
R. E. M. - Up
Streaming on TIDAL......... A mention from NICKPEACOCK earlier had me place this in the TIDAL Queue and now taking it out for a spin. It has been awhile since I have listened to a R. E. M. album and the first two tracks of 'Up' are sounding fine this Saturday afternoon......
Listening to this whilst drinking a cup of tea in bed! A nice gentle start to the day (before a 60 mile bike ride in ~30degC temperatures). Marantz CD player, Naim Nait 1, Rogers LS7.

I wonder if John Paul Jones was taking the photograph? Apparently Sandy Denny never received any payment for that session.
Nice start for Sunday...
Vinyl released 2018 - A joy to listen to. ????
Coincidentally, another Ike Quebec:
First real listening of this one...
John Martyn was an artist that just passed me by, heard of him, but never listened. Now listening to a John Martyn Anthology a 2 cd set.....some real gems, glad I eventually caught up.
Aeon Trio - Elegy
A nice mellow mixture of jazz and classical music.
Aeon Trio consists of cellist Maya Fridman, pianist Atzko Kohashi, and double bassist Frans van der Hoeven.
Haven't played this for ages and well good hearing it again...wow what a debut - Playing on Compact Disc on Island Records 2004
