On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Michael Jackson
HIStory - Past, Present and Future Book 1 - 24/96
Heard on the radio the other day Arguably my favourite Michael Jackson song "Earth Song" and realised that i haven't played any of Michael's albums in a long time, now putting that wright.

Working from Home and listening to ripped Time Life CD Series "Sounds of the Seventies", well recorded CD's not brick-walled some cool tunes
Blasted off with this fine Hawkwind album from 1982 - Church of Hawkwind - Playing on Vinyl on RCA Records

Double vinyl released 2013 - Indian percussionist Gurtu honours his early work with Don Cherry in an album dedicated to the sound of the trumpet, alternating pieces by Miles, Dizzy and Cherry with original compositions.
What's great is the variety of trumpet-voices, including Nils Petter Molvaer and Ibrahim Maalouf, and the way Gurtu's tablas and percussion weave in and out of their measures. This is superior stuff. ????
Some very rousing Mendlessohn - Playing on Vinyl on Deutche Grammohon Records
Pink Floyd - Meddle
On Vinyl
Eva Cassidy - Simply Eva.
Just Eva and her acoustic guitar, which serves to highlight the purity and clarity of her voice.
It's very rare for cover versions to improve on the originals, but her versions of "True Colours" and "Time After Time" are,
quite simply, stunning.
Another Sunday in Bonnie Scotland.

Soul Pirate (2008). Chillin' reggae to get me out the door, great looking day here.
Eric Clapton - From The Cradle.
Realised I hadn't played this in ages, as I'd been too busy listening to Eric's two Robert Johnson tribute albums.
Tell you what, this is a cracking album from Slowhand, with some fiery blues playing ............ and it's on Tidal, so if you've not heard
this in years, have a bash.
Sun's out seems the right thing to play
On Vinyl
Now Playing.........
Van Morrison - Roll With The Punches
Streaming on TIDAL........ Sunday morning and I am going to 'roll with the punches' and spin this 2017 release from the 72 year old Van Morrison when this album was released. This is one fantastic album!
Matt Anderson quartet - Rambling
Nice modern jazz by sax player Matt Anderson and his quartet.
Matt Anderson Sax, Pete Lee on piano, Will Harris on double-bass and Jay Davis on drums, as well as some tracks with special guests Nick Malcolm on trumpet, Owen Dawson on trombone and Aubin Vanns on guitar.
Umdumo Wesizwe - Nqi Ngqo.
Digging through the archives, I've unearthed this album from this group of acapella singers from Zimbabwe.
They were busking in York years ago, on a hot, sunny, Saturday afternoon, and had attracted a huge crowd, (no mean feat in York,
which is one of the UK's most popular busking venues).
Anyhow, I was so taken with their singing that I bought their CD there and then ......................... if you're quick, it's available on The
River for the princely sum of one penny!
................................. go on, spoil yourselves!
Here they are :
