On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
24/96 on my Mac through the Oppo's DAC. My first hi-res Zep!
From this, seamlessly, to ......................................................................this.
The Beat - I Just Can't Stop It. The Beat - Here We Go Love!
Their debut album was, and remains one of my all time favourite albums, so I was mighty surprised to hear that, on the new one,
Dave Wakeling has recaptured that essential, bouncy ska sound of yesteryear ............. yes, it really was in 1980!
It's like they've never been away ............ a Beat classic!
It's there on Tidal, so, calling all Beat fans, have a listen, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

With this heat I feel like I'm in the Balearics, just need the foam and a whistle!

Dunno Dave. Haven't listened to the SHM-CD through the Oppo yet, so who knows? But this does sound good.
I've never been entirely convinced by the whole hi-res thing, but now I have the equipment...

Recommended for a new to Coltrane listener. Sounds so smooth, first ever listen for me.
During workout - sounding like Led Zeppelin 2.0......
From a recommendation on another forum, via Tidal:
very much a 60's sound while channelling Adele, Amy & Dusty to name but a few.
So that’s why I continued with the real guys minus one...
One of the top sets of Mozart Sonatas for me...
