On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

You should catch him live if you ever have the opportunity. I strongly recommend Slaves Mass and also his 1970 self titled album. Enjoy it.

For the Fifth Sunday after Trinity
BWV 131 / 93 / 88
Thanks to a recommendation from my friend J.N. of this parish, I'm still enjoying the occasional Richard Shindell album. Superior folk.

You've beaten me to posting this. I've had this playing on my portable setup over the last couple of days.
Despite it's rather bleak subject matter I find it a strangely uplifting listen. One of their best.

They were also excellent as a live band before she went solo with her all arty-farty stuff. The import CD is with extra tracks is well worth a listen.
Tony,
Never saw them live back in the day but do remember playing the album for the first time and thinking this girl has got some voice....yeah a great album to have in the collection.
Traitor .....is fabulous
Wishing you a great weekend
Cheers Ian

Streaming on NAS......... recent purchase, ripped to NAS, and now taking out for a spin, it's Friday and have this turned up a bit, Wayne has the toes tapping and body moving on this Friday morning! The opening track is 'Witch Hunt' and Wayne is sounding mighty sweet!
Kate Bush - Lionheart - Vinyl (quite early 1/2 pressing)
I’m a mere 29 pages behind! Besides being a real favourite I was mindful this morning to play ‘Oh England! My Lionheart’. It’s my wife’s favourite as well, and hopefully blots out the ear worm football song (2 notes) we have had to listen to!
Thank you [@mention:1566878603873289] for checking I’m ok. Just too busy with gardening and getting the house ready for sharers in a week. I’m also in training now for my fundraising pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela (Camino Frances). So don’t be surprised if I don’t post from late September until mid November. The funds go to the RoboCap charity that gave £300,000 five years ago to buy a Da Vinci Robot for Cheltenham General Hospital. I’m on Radio Gloucestershire at 12 o’clock on 25 July being interviewed by Dominic Cotter along with a urology consultant. I shall ask him to play Oh England and given another choice maybe a short Genesis track.
Our NHS is something we all should support by donating. I have a nice leaflet for anyone interested. Even a tenner helps. Just look on my wall.
Phil
When driving to the Netherlands for the North Sea Jazz Festival, the best concept album in progressive metal...
And then the very good one I would say Nr. 2 in the list....
Extremely good progressive rock concept album...

Terrific Live UFO album from 1979 - One of their best albums in my opinion - Playing on Cassette on Maxell UD - XL11 s C90
Erroll Garner - Nightconcert
Great live recording by Erroll Garner.
On a 2007 CD. An indifferent singer, Davy was an absolutely sensational (and hugely influential) guitarist.
Indeed he was. and composer and innovator. He influenced so many greats. But his singing was - er -not always great.
I have similar views to the Incredible String Band. Great ideas, ok instrumentalists, but had a fairly easy relationship with being in tune.
Sergei Rachmaninov (1873-1943): Nikolai Lugansky, piano
24 Preludes
To Rachmaninov, composing was the, "...tonal expression to my thoughts." Nowhere is this more evident than in his solo piano music. What a privilege to be allowed a seat at the table (or piano) in this conversation that just keeps giving and giving.
Another great guitarist who happened to be a rotten singer. Thankfully this CD is all-instrumental:
