On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
1996 - Vinyl - US pressing...
Prince - Gold.
1994 - Vinyl (2011 US pressing) - MOFI reissue...
James Nice's FBN double-CD reissue of ACR's 1982 classic, complete with singles, Peel sessions and compilation appearances...
George Michaei - Older.
Jools Holland - Hop The Wag, plenty of boogie
The xx - I see You
This seemed rather appropriate as I have just collected a new pair of lenses from my optician.
I can now read the forum without blur. Might play them next.
Just needs Astrud, but mike does a great job..
Eric Alexander - Straight up
- Bass – John Webber
- Drums – George Fludas
- Piano – Harold Mabern
- Tenor Saxophone – Eric Alexander
- Trumpet – Jim Rotondi
Magnificent voice....
Good trio from Bandcamp...
Nice neo-classical type of music.....
Very dynamic jazz trio, recommended...
Linda Ronstadt - Greatest Hits,
MR FINGERS. CEREBRAL HEMISPHERES.
Acid house dude of long standing making the absolute best out of 2018s tuff realities.
On CD:-
James Taylor - James Taylor
Traveling Wilburys Vol1, simply brilliant.
Santana - Moonflower, a great blend of studio and live cuts, with probably the best version of "Europa" recorded.

Saw Santana numerous times and “Song of the wind” from Caravanserai I never heard them play, and Europa originally from “Amigo,s” only once.
CD. Felix Mendelssohn - Quintettes a Cordes - Gérard Caussé (Viola)
Eric Clapton - There's One in Every Crowd, from '75 and still a favourite.
Superb 24/96 recording of Chuckles' recent Hyde Park mega-gig.
Woof!
Just finished this on vinyl. Dire Straits - Love Over Gold. Forgot just how good this sounds.
Now moved on to some blues with Buddy Guy. An unbelievable vocal from Buddy on "Five Long Years" - you really feel his pain!
