Graham Nash - Over the Years, WAV CD rip
After a stunning gig from Nash at the Lowry last night, listening to his “latest”, a CD of his 15 most popular songs, the original releases from Nash, Crosby & Nash, CSN and CSNY remastered. These are great songs. He’s a world-class songwriter, a fantastic singer, and especially with his old pals the music is sublime. The album comes with a second disc of the original demos of the tracks, very lovely versions.
This seems like a bit of a winner and must buy Eoin...
Definitely Steve, I have every track already, but these are fine remasters, and as a handy greatest hit compilation of some of the greatest hippie folk rock songs, I’d he happy to have it before adding the demos.

Paul Rodgers - Muddy Water Blues.

I've been a Deep Purple and since I was a teenager, starting with the In Rock album. Made In Japan makes a pretty good job of reproducing the excitement of what I remember from their live performances.

It's one of my favourite live albums, Mike. I'm sorely tempted to give it a whirl tonight...

My CD is a bog standard version, Steve. I'm sometimes tempted to look out for a deluxe Japanese version as I know that I will play it often enough to justify the expense.

808 State. 90
Pacific State was officially released as a single Nov 89, but this was huge as a white label doing the rounds 30 years ago.

Graham Nash - Over the Years demo disc, WAV CD rip
And now the demos from the Nash album, always interesting to hear original demos, a lot of these are pretty similar to the final versions, all well worth a listen for the music alone.

The Rolling Stones - Let it Bleed - from the mono boxset.
Just watched the "Stones at the BBC" thingy, so, obviously, this ............... in mono, just as it should be .............. belter!
Original vinyl

Why? Well, it was going to Chris Rea but I pulled this out and thought "Why not?'
steve

Pete Townsend and Ronnie Lane - Rough Mix.
Talking Heads - Little Creatures
Great album.
Brings back good memories from my late teenage years. What's not to like about that.

(2003)
Younger Brother - A Flock of Bleeps
Younger Brother AKA Simon Posford of Hallucinogen and Shpongle fame doing more wonderful hard trance and dance, psychedelic electronic loveliness.

Mike, look at it as an investment in fine music that you enjoy and play often rather than an expense ![]()

Supertramp - Crime of the Century, late ‘70s vinyl
My first copy, coming up on 40 years old , and still one of my favourite albums. Prog meets pop-rock, fantastic songs, varied sonic textures, brilliant playing and singing.
Sounding wicked - fabulous guitar playing from Chicago Bluesman Albert Collins and a very tight band with sax and keyboards - Playing on Vinyl on Alligator Records 1978

You're Bloody Well Right Eoin ![]()

Paul McCartney - McCartney
I saw Rough Mix and was about to go for Townshend's Empty Glass. But I found this on the way:
Sonny Rollins - Way Out West
The Katie Melua Collection
This is a sweet album in all kinds of ways.

Tingvall Trio Vagen, excellent Scandi Jazz from these guys and super recordings too, play loud!

Albert King - Born Under A Bad Sign.
Following Tabby Cat ^^^ and playing some funky blues from another member of the "King" triumvirate ............. belter!

Hawkwind, Quark Strangeness and Charm, late ‘70s vinyl
My favourite from the mighty ‘Wind, where their stoned space-rock lyrics, social conscience and excellent musicianship comes together in a wild ride of driving rhythms, sound effects, and lyrics that grab you.
