On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Eric Clapton's Rainbow Concert, the 14 track expanded edition.

Susumu Yokota & Rothko. Distant sounds of summer. 2005
Eric Bibb - Live a Fip.
Last one of the evening with some late night acoustic blues from disc 2 of this most excellent live radio broadcast.
Guitar and voice working perfectly together, and Eric always was at his best in a live setting ............... highly recommended.
Nighty night.
Calexico - Carried To Dust. Chillin "Desert Noir" tunes, relaxing in the early evening sun.

I've been a Deep Purple and since I was a teenager, starting with the In Rock album. Made In Japan makes a pretty good job of reproducing the excitement of what I remember from their live performances.
It's one of my favourite live albums, Mike. I'm sorely tempted to give it a whirl tonight...
My CD is a bog standard version, Steve. I'm sometimes tempted to look out for a deluxe Japanese version as I know that I will play it often enough to justify the expense.
M
Get this version as it has all the trax off Made in Japan plus the rest of the trax from the tour.
Superbly recorded album with a vocalist that is so crisp and smooth. Impressive
Van Morrison - Avalon Sunset.
Back to listening to one of the many Van CD's purchased over the last couple of weeks.
What a great album, and why didn't anyone twist my arm years ago, to sit down and listen to Van's music?
I did admit that I my start point was this "greatest hits" collection, and I can recommend it as a good taster for anyone not yet familiar
with the man's music, though I'm guessing that was probably only me ............ doh!
Van Morrison - Still On Top - The Greatest Hits.
Benny Waters - Live at the Pawnshop
Good swing jazz by Benny Waters and his quintet.
- Benny Waters - Sax & Clarinet
- Bjorn Milder - Piano
- Goran Lind - Bass
- Goran Stachewsky - Guitar
- Krister Ohlsson - Drums
Rockin' out with a great Graham Bonnett era Rainbow album from 1980 - Playing on Compact Disc on Olodor Records
Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa - Black Coffee.
Probably their finest joint effort yet, and Beth's "Black Coffee" is the best I've listened to since the late, great, Steve Marriott's version.
