Kamasi Washington. The choice
Had to partially destroy the inner middle section of the Heaven and Earth album cd cover to get to this Hidden bonus cd ep bonus inclusion.
Must be a cryptic message in there somewhere......
Just had a listen on Tidal to the extra material. Thought the album was already excellent but this just makes it a compulsory purchase. Great stuff!
(2018)
Bobbie Gentry's BBC sessions where she is sounding as good as I've ever heard her. This one downloaded from the code that comes with the vinyl.
With the return of the hot weather, it had to be played.
(2010)
Fine rock biased prog rock from the Madrid based band Toundra, this was their second album Toundra II, luverly!
Thundercat - Drunk
Absolutely crazy selection of tracks, 23 to be precise.
I would love to hear this played via an ND555, I reckon it would be awesome.
Bert, I hope you see this.

Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited, 2015 Mono reissue
Dylan’s first 10-12 years produced a series of great albums it’s hard to believe one man created. For me this may well be the finest of them (although several others challenge it), Dylan’s songwriting genius complemented superbly by his sneering voice, Mike Bloomfield’s guitar leading a fine band. A masterful fusion of folk and old-school blues, the album opens with Like A Rolling Stone, it’d be impossible for every song on an album to be that great, but with the title track and Desolation Row he does pretty well at trying to match it, and there isn’t really any filler. Greatness.
My word, this lady had a lovely singing voice.

How to follow HIghway 61, ah yes his Bobness’s great poetic contemporary. Fairly stripped back arrangements, Cohen's wonderfully beguiling voice, and some of the finest poetry of the 20th century set to brilliantly simple tunes. One of his finest albums.
His debut album, he was 33 when he released this, amazing to think that at that age Dylan was releasing Planet Waves, his 14th album.
Just catching the end of a documentary about K-Pop, on R4. I hesitate to use the word analysis but a good look at the manufacturing involved in the process.

I wonder what happened to their guitarist, he seemed pretty tasty (sic). ????
1990 Cambridge Folk Festival is one of my greatest musical memories, Rory played an acoustic set and a band set, Bert Jansch played, guitar doesn’t get any better,
