On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Nicely dovetails this fine summers morning - Playing on Compact Disc on Naxos
More mono vinyl. Just as the third was a huge leap forward from the second, so the sixth is a massive progression from the fourth and fifth.
Carrying on with the Classical and more of the mighty Mozart - Enjoying this one even more - Playing on Compact Disc on Naxos

Top 3 Fabs album for me.Love how there are noticeable differences in the mono and stereo mix's.
George Benson - This Is Jazz, part of a series of albums from Epic.
Big Country - Steeltown.
I started the morning off with Big Country's debut album, and what a cracker it is.
Their follow up "difficult second album" may not be as instantly accessible, but on reflection, is, if anything, even better, (IMHO).
A band who carried a quite unique sound, and, as I suggested earlier, sadly missed ........... Stuart Adamson, RIP.

When a stude, I saw them live in Brighton while promoting this album. I remember them standing out as being utterly superb compared to a lot of acts I saw at the time.

And then, as if that wasnt enough, there followed Revolver and Sgt. Pepper ....
Kathleen Battle & Jean-Pierre Rampal - In concert
Playing on Cassette on TDK AR C60 - Nice Blues album by pianist Memphis Slim from 1962
Playing on Compact Disc on Atlantic Records 1959 - As it says The Genius of the late great Ray Charles - " Don't need no Doctor " is just so Classic
UK first press (plum) press. The last album of their that I can listen to all the way through:
Magic Slim - Raw Magic
Time for some Blues!
Now playing.......
Tord Gustavsen - What was said
Tord Gustavsen (piano, electronics, synth bass), Simin Tander (voice), and Jarle Vespestad (drums).
Streaming on NAS......... returned from a 10 day vacation with daughter & grand-daughters last evening and after a well deserved sleep in this morning starting with something soothing and gentle to lift me into the day.
(1982)
The Alan Parsons Project - Eye In The Sky
This one has been going around in my head all day so there is only one way to purge it, fine late prog-rock.
Primal Scream - Screamadelica.
I started today with some Jock rock, in the form of Big Country's first two albums, so why not carry on in a Jock state of mind?
There's not a lot to say about this album from Glasgow's finest ...................... it's a stone cold classic. IMHO.
From new jazz to old jazz. First in the row new jazz, great album...
Old jazz, but modern for the time played...
Vinyl released 2012 - Great album. ????
I turned my Favorite Things to grey on the album Afro blue impressions...
(1967)
The Doors - Strange Days
Ripped from an early original 1985 Elektra label CD, I think that I prefer this to the recent 24/96 hi-res release.
Mellow sounds for a very very warm evening. UK first press vinyl:
Roy Harper - Bullinamingvase - Original UK vinyl
A friend gave me this copy about 15 years ago, I probably haven’t listened to it since then. Mistake, possibly my favourite RH album. The first side has some lovely folky numbers, and the vitriolic attack on Watford Gap service station removed from later issues for years. The second side has a marvellous multi-part reminiscing epic about England and Harper, all underpinned by beautiful tunes, great acoustic playing from Roy, and some fine playing from his friends.
Earlier...
On original vinyl, great album...
