On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
TWET – Tomasz Stanko (RIP), Tomasz Szukalski, Edvard (sic) Vesala, Peter Warren.
Original vinyl from 1974.
First Impulse: The Creed Taylor Collection 50th Anniversary. Four cds - not all the music here would be my choice as a 'best of Creed' but cd3 featuring Oliver Nelson's Blues and the Abstract Truth, followed by Coltrane's Africa/Brass is terrific.
Yesterday jazz with eastern influences..
Breakfast treat..
On CD:-
Volume 1 2 3
Working my way through these fine live vinyls
Library and easy music on CD. Some great runes by Roy Budd, Tony Hatch etc...
Splendid double-disc compilation featuring Jarrett, Mingus, Szabo, Hubbard, the Coltranes, Shepp, Roach, etc
Released 2007 - And it’s good too.????
1969 - UK pressing....
They don’t do compilations like they used to.
Helene Grimaud - Reflections
- Robert Schuman: Concerto for piano and orchestra
- Clara Schuman: Two lieder to poems from liebesfruhling
- Johannes Brahms: Sonata for piano and violoncello
On CD:-
Gaz Coombes - World's Strongest Man
Derek & The Dominos - Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, surely one of the best double albums of all time?

Bin find at my local record shop, Steve. Couldn’t resist the cover. Some familiar faces there with mr Rogers up front and the ever so smiley and bearded mr Anderson at the back. How could I resist investing 3 quid on it? Quick clean on the RCM and it is as good(iiish) as new!
