1969 - UK pressing....
They don’t do compilations like they used to.
That looks a good'n, Tony. I don't remember seeing that album before.
Bin find at my local record shop, Steve. Couldn’t resist the cover. Some familiar faces there with mr Rogers up front and the ever so smiley and bearded mr Anderson at the back. How could I resist investing 3 quid on it? Quick clean on the RCM and it is as good(iiish) as new!
Haven't seen that for years. Really good album.

Wow Peder, 30 years,I think I must play it in some form every 30 days
Brian Wilson - Gettin' In Over MY Head, a pleasant solo offering from '04,with contributions from Elton,Paul McC and Eric C.
The other album from the same afternoon and evening, 25 June 1961, at the Village Vanguard in Greenwich Village, NYC. I wonder if those who were present realised what a milestone in the world of jazz they were part of?
An official recording from Boz Scaggs current tour
Now Playing.........
Lloyd Charles - Notes From Big Sur
Charles Lloyd (tenor saxophone), Bobo Stenson (piano), Anders Jormin (bass), and Ralph Peterson (drums).
Streaming on TIDAL...... Continuing on with Lloyd, he is sounding fantastic......
Still from last evening, for me unknown music, but beautiful...
This morning during workout ...
Dougie Maclean
Caledonia Cantata - 24/44.1

Nice laid back trio jazz album....
John Lennon - Anthology, playing various tracks from the 4 cds. Many tracks sound better than the actual released version as they are devoid of some of the more questionable Lennon production techniques.
Kirk Lightsey trio featuring Freddie Hubbard - Temptation
- Bass – Santi Debriano
- Drums – Eddie Gladden
- Percussion – Jerry Gonzalez (tracks: A1)
- Piano – Kirk Lightsey
- Trumpet – Freddie Hubbard
Howard Shore
The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers-The Complete Recordings - 24/48

Frank Turner, Tape Deck Heart,
If you like some Folk/Rock with a small dose of Punk, give this a go. Turner does not get much attention on this thread, which is a shame IMO.
Beck - Morning Phase
This album has really grown on me over the past few months. I find it rather uplifting.
Which is why I'm playing it now as I'm pretty sure that Summer 2018 is now over in South Wales.
Hey ho, at least we had a Summer this year.

Van Morrison - Avalon Sunset.
I've only recently started listening seriously to Van's music, (no, don't ask, since I don't know either!), and have been stocking up
cheaply via The River.
There's some fabulous stuff there on the twenty or so albums I've purchased so far, but this one is really doing it for me, and stands
head and shoulders above the others, IMHO.
Can't stop playing it.
Dave, I am a big Van fan and have many of the albums you have recently been collecting. My favourite Van album is The Philosophers Stone. Not sure if you have got around to this classic Van album (IMHO), if not I would urge you to give it a listen. It is a double album of 33, yes 33, tracks, all belters again IMHO.
Hi, Nigel, I've tracked down a copy of this double album, and it's on it's way .......... not the cheapest, but, hey ho.
Yer a bad man, as you've told me often enough!
Don't be so tight Dave. Sounds like you have had good value out of Van albums from the River so far. Time now to stump up some proper cash!
Would be interested to know what you think of The Philosopher's Stone.
Hi Nigel,
Arrived this morning, ripped and streaming now, on my "broken" NDS.
Van Morrison - The Philosopher's Stone.
It's only my first listen, but this album has grabbed my attention from the off.
Very bluesy vibe, which suits me down to the ground, and I'm finding it hard to believe that many of these choons were rejected
for inclusion on subsequent releases.
Great shout, Nigel, .............. ya baad man!

Lennon or Phil Spector production techniques? If the latter, then anything would sound better.
The Magpie Salute-High Water O
first listen as I wake up this morning. Looking forward to many more.
