Some classic Genesis on a drizzly Saturday evening. What a superb opening song The Musical Box is.
I am so with you Mike with The Musical Box - The atmosphere of it and the start with Steve's guitar line and when Peter starts his vocals. It always sends me to this Victorian era.And as a track it's got everything - quiet bits like the start and the end with the "she is a Lady " bit and drama on the instrumental parts.
Wishing you a good evening
Now enjoying some lovely Melody Gardot as I haven't listened to any of her albums for a few weeks.

Selling England by the Pound isn't a bad alternative, Gary

Joining Mike with some fine Genesis.
Just about to watch a movie....but thought Steve and Mike would appreciate the Seconds Out photo's.Ah a great time in Genesis history. That Wind and Wuthering World tour was something special and Steve Hackett's last performance with the band,I do think they lost something as a band when Steve left in 1977.I think it became more Tony Banks driven with his keyboards. And in some ways the old atmosphere and magic like Entangled and the Musical box would never return.

Was listening before this post to Original album series Steve Hacket...on the River £9.99 for 5 albums....bargain.
The Undertones - Teenage Kicks - The Best Of.
Inspired by Kevin's posted new topic "Vintage John Peel Shows & Sessions" ............... what else could it possibly be?
Cafe Jacques - International. On vinyl from 1978. I think they were a Scottish band who, as far as I am aware, only released two albums. They were described at the time as a progressive rock band, but their music to me is more in the pop vein. I don't think I've listened to this in over 30 years, but it's sounding remarkably good. I think the drummer later played with Simple Minds.
Continuing with vinyl, a bit of China Crisis, with their album What Price Paradise.
Now Playing.......
Boz Scags - Fade Into Light
Streaming on TIDAL....... Out and about running some errands and returning home to continue on with more of the Boz, 'Fade Into Light' is sounding mighty fine! One fine album.....
Lambchop - Flotus
Wrapping it up for the day. Early-ish one tomorrow.

Not listened to Lambchop for such a long time - must rectify that soon. Nixon is one of my all time favourite albums.

- Drums – Arthur Edgehill
- Flute, Tenor Saxophone – Jerome Richardson
- Organ – Shirley Scott
- Recorded By – Rudy Van Gelder
- Tenor Saxophone – Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis
Vinyl released 2014 - Sound album from Beck. ????

Boz Scaggs - Some Change
Streaming on NAS......... picked this up today at Golden Oldies, ripped to NAS and now giving a spin!
Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924): Jean-Claude Pennetier, piano
R3, gorgeous background.
Before that Eleanor Rosamund Barraclough presented On Your Farm on R4. A village in Notts has four fields, one lying fallow, and a Court Leet by which their use is governed. Worth catching.

Yep they were Scottish formed in Edinburgh. Better live than their lp's which I put down to Rupert Hines production values at the time.
Good morning! Or good evening if you like!
